Hunting for Australia's CHEAPEST properties (Traralgon)

  • This time we're heading back to Traralgon which is where I bought my second rental property, to meet up with Matt Johnson who sells around 200 properties a year in the area. Matt is going to give us the inside knowledge for buying in Traralgon, including the best pockets, price points and more.
    Traralgon is known for having the highest rental yield in all of Victoria and has experienced a property boom over the past 12 months, making it a great place to consider investing.
    I decided to ask Matt at the final property, if he was to buy outside of Traralgon in one of the surrounding suburbs which would it be. Matt was very quick to point out Church hill stating that although Moe Morewell and Traralgon are the main towns the people often look at, Church hill actually had the highest growth out of all the areas with the average sale price increasing by over 20% in the last 12 months.

    Really want you to do a Mount Gambier video. We've been getting a 6.8% return since buying it last year in July. The capital growth though hasn't been as high as your home in Traralgon.

      The only reason he's getting ANYTHING at all is the fact they are doing a mass estate's build and doing it fast.
      I was on the outskirts, able to see farms and hear cow's. Now it's just alcohol and drug's for 4 blocks.
      Cheap comes at at cost! This place is the last place I'd ever buy a house or even land. Rentals are guaranteed to be trashed not to mention the last local Sargent was corrupt and his son has now taken over.,vs in the same estate as me and is affiliated with the bikies and local gang's.
      Mt Gambier is just as bad I hear...

    😂🤣 cheap for a BIG reason.
    Drugs, alcohol and more drug's alongside 12yo drunks getting away with EVERYTHING because their so young.
    And don't get me started on the corruption...😂what a joke they are...
