While cruising the Mexican Riviera on the Carnival Splendor we visited the port of call Cabo San Lucas Mexico. We decided to do our own shore excursion tour rather than booking something on the ship. After tendering into Cabo we spoke to the locals and booked a glass bottom boat tour for $15 dollars per person. This excursion included a tour of the Arch of Cabo, Divorce Beach, Sea Lions, Caves, Pelican Beach, Cliff Jumping and Scuba Diving / Snorkeling areas. We were also dropped off at Lovers Beach for a couple of hours and then picked up by our water taxi glass bottom boat.
Cabo San Lucas ( Cabo San Lucas Baja California Sur Mexico ) is full of history. If you find yourself saying what to do in Cabo San Lucas? There are many hotels, beaches ( Lovers Beach / Medano Beach) bars, restaurant and shopping that you can visit.

We were there during the week of July 21-28. It was marvelous! I got seasick in Cabo though, barfed on the snorkeling boat. So sorry to the owner of that boat. :(

I think your kids would love it. I would say just double check to make sure they have children's life jackets.

We paid upfront. I was not worried, and they came back as they said they would. Worst case scenario there were plenty of boats coming and going that we could have gone back in. We just would have had to pay again.

took this tour march 2020 it was ok they took care of you , when you get on lovers beach walking to divorce beach there are three large rocks two very close too each other like a couple and the third rock just set back from them like the mistress ? just my thought what say you ?

This was a couple years back on the Carnival Splendor. We've also been to Cabo with Royal Caribbean on the Mariner of the seas. Norwegian is great and you will have an excellent trip I'm sure. 👍

Lol, I totally misunderstood your question. 😂 The boat we took was called the Marichewy. I'm not really sure how to spell it but we booked it right at the dock when we arrived at the port.
I am graduating College in June. Would you say that it is still okay to travel to Cabo in the middle of June or should I wait for another time of the year?
This was filmed at the end of August and we had nice hot weather. It will definitely be quite warm in June.

On the boat was probably 45min to an hour and then we stayed at lovers beach for about 1.5 hours if I remember correctly. So a total of about 2.5 hours.

We did this tour again a few months ago and this time our boat's name was Yoshi. I think most of the vendors at the end of the pier, which there are many of. Offer the same or a similar price? You may need to barter with them. We heard that some people paid a little less than us and some people paid a couple dollars more.
Did you book that with your cruise or when you landed, did you book this directly with the locals at the port?
When we got off the ship we booked it with the locals. This was not a ship excursion.
I agree book with the people on the beach. They are totally legit and way cheaper than the resort. Only $10 for the boat and we got to stay at lovers beach for about an HR. We booked out horseback ride through them for a local ranch and it was the best horseback ride we've ever had and cheap. They even let us run with the horses and the baby horse followed us everywhere. It was awesome. The came ride thru cactus tours camel ride was horrible and a total rip off

Thanks, When we got off the boat the locals helped us with our bags and getting off the boat. They would have given our bags back right away if we were more aggressive. They kind of held on to them expecting a tip before they passed them back to you.

What was the name of the company you did this trip with?
We spoke to one of the venders selling tours in the area near the cruise pier. The boats name was Marychuy. There are many glass bottom boats that offer a similar tour. Thanks for watching!
Can you recommend a excursion company in Cabo. We want to deal with a reputable one
Go to the beach you will get a way better deal there. We got ours for only $10 by negotiating. Don't go to the camel ride it's a waste of money and the company is rude and expect you to tip them for horrible service. Horseback riding at the local small company was awesome and they let us run on the beach with the horses.
Do they give you a chance to take pictures on the boat at the Arch?
For us they did. We stopped there for a couple of minutes.
Did they provide you with the gear for snorkeling ??
With some of the excursions you could rent snorkeling gear.

We paid them before we got in the boat. I didn't ask about Medano Beach but I am guessing they probably would for a little extra $. I have heard of others taking a boat there.

Probably $3-$5 each. Your right it's good to know about this ahead of time to be prepared.
@@NorthernVikingExplorer one more question: when getting off the boat on Lover's Beach, did you get really wet? How deep is it where they drop you off? Are you ok with flip flops or do you need a water shoe or something like that? I don't want to get everything wet or hurt my feet :) (this is the most helpful video I've found so thanks for answering!)
The amount of sand at Lovers Beach varies from year to year depending on the storms. When we went a lot of the sand had been washed away. The boat drove right up to the sand but it was still a windy day. We had to jump into about waist deep water. I've heard other people have had different experiences where they didn't get quite as wet. The area that we jumped out was all sand under the water. Of course water shoes are always helpful.
I thought Cabo doesn't have beaches that are swimmable?
There are a few different beaches that are swimmable in Cabo.

I've done that tour 20 times never paid over $10 as cheap as six
Why is it dangerous to swim in the divorce beach ?
There is a heavy current from what I understand on the divorce beach.
