    Just binged watched the entire episodes again. So amazing how & what we've become today. The devastating way that we are destroying ourselves by what we are doing. Definitely be watching it all again very soon. We'll done Chris Packham, hope there is more to come. Love watching these types of programmes, especially the way it's explained in a way that we can understand. Keep up the good work.

    This is first BBC thing I've watched since the Brian Cox documentaries. The first episode was excellent. If there were more programs like this I wouldn't be so against the license fee, as it would be money well spent.. the non bias non climate alarmism was a pleasant surprise, actually telling people that the earth has gone through so many cataclysms in the passed and what we have today means very little to earths existence was refreshing

    Stunning and very emotional series, it’s people like Sir David Attenborough, Steve Irwin and Chris Packham that make us realise just how precious our world 🌍 is and how we need to protect it as well as the rulers who own it, animals 🦔🦓🦒, trees 🌳🌲, plants 🌱, water 💧🌊, fire 🔥 and ice 🧊

    Really enjoyed this series. The BBC gets a lot of flak, but while streaming services are awash with low quality documentaries, (usually about serial killers for some reason), its such a relief when we get a well researched, beautifully produced documentary about such a fascinating topic as the deep geological history of the Earth. Brian Cox's Planets and Attenboroughs planet Earth/Frozen planet have been excellent too. Inform, educate, entertain, Bravo!

    Casuals uploading a 4k video of their dog from their phone, meanwhile the broadcasting giant BBC uploading trailer of their upcoming visual spectacle in 1080p 💀

    • @PaleoEdits
      @PaleoEdits Год назад +2

      Most major studios post trailers in 1080p, as it's safer that the video will play smoothly right away for most viewers. And trailers need to be quick in order to grab the attention of their impatient or technically unwitted audience who can't find the cog.

    • @OCD.Reader
      @OCD.Reader Год назад +3

      @@PaleoEdits That maybe the reason but it's so 2010s. Right now, youtube has mostly taken over all responsibility of serving you video based on your network & device speed. RUclips even defaults to 1080p on a high speed internet despite 4k source file to save on bandwidth themselves. Basically the 4k options is only for people who want them, and is willing to find the cog. Therefore, it makes no sense for movies/shows based on amazing visuals to not provide for that option. I remember the same was with avatar 2. Like Their whole movie is about groundbreaking visual effects and yet they chose to display them in their trailer at 1080p. In 2023, it seems inexcusable.

    A wonderful series but I do wonder why so many people blindly accept Alfred Wegener’s Pangea/Plate Tectonics theory: the continents slide around the planet like they are performing a hoedown and will one day come together again. Really? Ask a geologist how Pangea was first formed and you’ll likely be met with silence; I can’t get an answer. Consider Roberto Mantovani’s simpler and more logical 1889 theory: he believed that all the continents do fit together, entirely: not just across the Atlantic Ocean but across the Pacific too, only on a smaller planet. He even demonstrated this in his theory. All students should be made aware of Mantovani’s Expanding Earth Theory and they should ask academia, ‘would all the continents really fit together on a smaller planet as Mantovani has proposed, and how was Wegener’s Pangea first formed?’
