About Crazy Rich Asians:
"Crazy Rich Asians” follows native New Yorker Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend, Nick Young (Henry Golding), to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Excited about visiting Asia for the first time but nervous about meeting Nick’s family, Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few key details about his life. But this version by Kina Grannis actually takes it to a wonderfully different level. We may have to play them back to back for our 30th anniversary this coming summer.

My wife died a few days ago. This was our first dance song. She loved this version of the song. She was like it has to be THIS version. We were definitely fools. We moved in together after 1 month, engaged at 6 and married at 1 year. We spent an amazing 3 and a half years together and she left and indelible mark on my soul.
I didn't know what to expect from this movie, watched it with my wife, a powerful and wonderful love story, had something in my eyes on several scenes, similar to my wife when I was dating her, she is Laotian and I'm Hmong, my mom dislike the fact I was dating outside our ethnic group. As time went by she began to see the true beauty of my wife and accepted her as her own child, my mom is not with us anymore but her acceptance from my wife will always be remembered.

this scene was a close second in terms of the feels. The most moving scene was the majong scene with the last line and watery eyes. Then she flips the majong pieces. So powerful.
Totally Agree!! That mahjong scene did it for me! That mahjong scene was so pivotal and filled with so much symbolism! Also, it brought back memories of my parents playing at mahjong parties with their friends.
@@josephinebeeson1988 I think a lot of Westerners saw the mahjong scene as a check mate..I won (Rachel). However, I think the real meaning is she gave up a winning piece and set it on the table. However, Eleanor, because of the person she is, took the winning piece selfishly. Essentially, Eleanor won, but the ending shows that Rachel could have won, but she sacrificed that one piece as she isn't a selfish person. As in "Im the better person."

On a real note tho, the way they used this song for that wedding scene is so damn AMAZING. I had low expectation of the movie but holy crap that scene made me smile and gave me goosebumps
A friend gave me the movie and the way she portrait it, it was like a comedy Chinese movie, so my expectations were very low, but right in the first scenes I realized that it wasn't a"trash" movie , and then I started to realize that it is the best romantic/comedy movie I ever seen

I was watching wedding scene, this scene is very powerful for me, the wedding scene have so many many emotions of each character but when everything has silence and Kira sang "take my hand, take my whole life too" I felt to emotions of Rachel in a while she was looking at Nick that full of a love, a confuse and have a fear about relationship of her and him, I felt she was thinking "should I follow my heart or stop everything right now?" It seem she want to speak "if you take my hand, please take my whole life too" Kira, She can convey the emotions of the song quite great. I was crying so much in this scene, this song and wedding scene is a best matched and makes the wedding scene very powerful and the best wedding scene for me. after that, I will cry everytime I heard this song I love this movie so much!!!

I was deeply loved by a guy from my med school, but i was in love with this other guy, who was in love with someone else. That broke my heart and my grief became inconsolable. I left him as it led me nowhere. I started developing respect for this guy who was still in love with me for so long. We used to work at the same hospital in my internship years. We stayed friends while he still being in love with me. I couldn't just jump down the cliff then because i was not ready to commit to him yet. He has moved on now..and here i am, falling in love with him knowing that he loved me during the most vulnerable time of my life when i didnt even know who i was and what i was suppose to do with my life. I am now understanding life and i think i was so immature. So self centered in my own grief, that i couldn't see his. He loved me when i couldn't love my self. He taught me what love truly was. I have never remained the same ever since we parted ways. Wish he had some more patience to deal with my mess. I hope he realizes one day that i loved him, but a part of me was not ready that time. Now i am ready. I will always love him, period. Even if he has moved on.
