You know, if you look at the rules of X-Factor, this IS a popularity contest. As a Canadian I was not allowed to vote unfortunately, but the ultimate reason why Rachel was eliminated was that not enough people votes for her in the U.S.A. Then again, there is always a reason for everything. I believe that this is what is best for Rachel in the long run. The winner of the contest is very restricted with the contact as Rachel with her wide range of talent is now free to grow the way she needs to.

I agree Beverly; Rachel is a better singer for that reason. Melanie had a great voice, but lacked feeling. I really believe all of the top 5 were really good, and should split the prize. Just me, but I think they should do it like any contest; 1st get the most, then 2nd, and so on down to 5 anyway. Would be much better that way. I would have made Josh the winner, then Rachel, Melanie, Chris Rene, then the other black guy-can't remember his name.
melanie never would have won if she wasn't an amazing singer and performer. these shows are full of amazing talent and america doesn't just vote for the best looking. all of the people have so much potential and im not saying that melaine was the best but she wouldnt have one if she didnt sing from the heart

The ruling class didn't know how they got rid of Micheal Jackson... This little gem is haunting them. They are not interested in artist that are selling heartfelt music that touches the human soul... They only are interested in the ones that are selling sensless sex and emptiness. This is no paranoid rant its for real.. Music today is not what it use to be.
Melaine must not be doing very well because I have not heard anything or seen anything on her so as far as I can see she sucks and Rachel is going places so that tells me Rachel is still going strong Melaine is already a has been.
