Simulace představuje zkoušku balistické odolnosti ocelového plechu vůči projektilu. Model projektilu i ocelového plechu je sestaven z objemových (solid) elementů. U modelů materiálů je nezbytné zahrnutí vlivu rychlosti deformace (strain rate), z důvodů vysokých rychlostí při balistických zkouškách. V těchto modelech hrají klíčovou roli také modely porušení materiálu. Simulace byla řešena jako explicitní konečnoprvková (FEM) analýza v programu ANSYS LS-DYNA.

This series includes various fields of simulations (static structural, fluid, electro, explicit, HPC computing...).
However, they are all in czech and the topic of ballistics is not covered there yet. If there were more people interested in this topic we would most likely add it on our list of "coming webinars".

Yes, the outer cover often flies out.

@@dienduongcong9586 Yes, the sharp edge that develops during the impact plays definitely important role in the phenomenon. However, the most important aspects are the stiffnesses and strengths of individual layers of the projectile.
