    "All separatism in provinces owned at the time of formation is removed as soon as they are cores - instantly if they already are cores. This is very useful to get rid of rebels when expanding rapidly". Straight from the wiki. Might be useful with the german formable

    Maybe it would have been a good idea to go for the first centralization reform for the 10% ccr before conquering all of Germany. Considering how early into the game one can get there, it would have only delayed the conquest by 10-20 years.

    Considering how insanely strong Austria is these days, owning all of Central Europe by 1490 is probably the weakest result to aim for. 😂
    It is extremely fast for a Germany formation though, which is cool.
    I wasted my time getting Castile to actually declare the PU on Portugal which is so hard to do. Two wars in which I fed them Portuguese provinces until the historical friendship broke... and then he wouldn't call me into the PU war and of course never get the warscore to enforce, the next time he called me in but even with 85% warscore just took some colonies. I ended up getting them to take the PU in the end but it really isn't worth the trouble.
    Much better to just get through the Austrian missions and use the spread dynasty peace deal to eventually get your own personal union.

    Can you explain your reasoning on removing forts as an anti-rebel measure? From where I stand, it seems like having the fort would be great, because it gives you more time to deal with the rebs, and if they do win some land nearby the fort mitigates the penalty.

    • @TheFyroPyro
      @TheFyroPyro 3 месяца назад +2

      If you're playing on a knife's edge and expecting rebels to pop and siege territory and you wanna be able to ignore them for a while, preventing them from taking forts (by removing fort in the rebel cores) can slow down them enforcing their demands on you. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here

    • @leviathan5530
      @leviathan5530 3 месяца назад +1

      He had to stave off bankruptcy as long as possible, forts were simply unaffordable, even for the 16 months of rebels. Sure he could have kept them to prevent separatism, but you're gonna get at least 2 more rounds of these rebels when lowering autonomy, maybe even 3... better to just rebuild the forts when loan size is 3k

    • @leviathan5530
      @leviathan5530 3 месяца назад

      @@TheFyroPyroI think he could have afforded 2 years of the forts, and if he had it probably would have saved him a lot of men because I believe he took a lot of -1 dice rolls to deal with the rebels (maybe he didn't I didn't see) He definitely should have deleted at least half of the forts as many of them overlapped. He was probably right to delete all of them though, because he was actually debasing to barely stay out of bankruptcy. He would not have been able to afford forts, it's hard to calculate. Kind of fun

    • @grafzauberer6867
      @grafzauberer6867 3 месяца назад

      AFAIK Rebells automatically win a siege if they rise up. So having forts literally means losing manpower (as you will have to siege, the rebels likely not). So when you are that overextended, having Forts is only feasible if you have Armys on those Forts (because then the battle takes precedence over the siege, meaning they don't win the siege Day 0)

      “Guide” is in quotations indicating sarcasm. It’s definitely a quick way to get the achievement “an early reich” though so it’s a fair guide

    • @Theplaymaker57
      @Theplaymaker57  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes is it meant as sarcasm hence the quotations. What do you mean by nation ruining?

    • @Calltheshotten
      @Calltheshotten 3 месяца назад

      Sure, you could do a similar thing by Renovatii Imperi, and you could do it at around the same time, but then you become HRE, which is a super-end-tag nation, so you cant form Italy/Germany/Roman Empire/Etc. This strategy allows you to get the Admin efficiency from Sardinia-Piedmont, if you wanted. You could get Italian missions, etc. There are benefits to this strategy compared to the HRE path. In, my opinion, both are viable, one is harder, and more long term benefits if you succeed. Again, with either strategy, Austria is powerful enough to do basically anything at that point in the game.

    • @Suhaschintala
      @Suhaschintala 3 месяца назад

      @@Calltheshotten claim that you cant form nations while you revoke simply isnt true. you get hre swarm and only conquer /integrate vassals whose provinces you need for nation forming. you form those nations and then form HRE. with austrian ideas and diplo ideas, you can get "improve relations" modifier to be so good you can literally form germany without a coalition with a stable economy ( i formed germany in 1500 without a coalition).
