Use the stinger / backhoe to move the tractor over and back - then set the outriggers down to steady and hold tractor in place so you can move stinger for another bite .
Both of you must work together on each chainset .If you know a snowplow guy /girl or trucker that uses dually chains it'll help emensly.Frost bite is common
The weight box is engaged for all of the pulls. But there are different gears on the sled that makes the box move up the sled (thus transferring weight) faster or slower, depending on the tractor that's pulling it.
@@jaysteidinger6193 it's hard to tell, but when the sled is in low gear the box will only move up the rails a couple of feet while the sled is pulled the entire length of the track. On the small crawlers like the TD4 and the D2s and D4s the sled operator had the shed in low gear. Especially when kids are driving the tractor. The operator isn't necessarily trying to stop the tractors like in a competition. He's just trying to make it fun for the driver or the spectators. I have a few other videos on my channelof this sled stopping tractors. This sled is designed for tractors smaller than 75ish hp. Any tractor larger than 75 HP can out pull it, even with the weight all the way at the top of the rails.
Never have seen crawlers in a pull. Most interesting.
I thought it was fun too!
Love seeing these old machines doing their thing.
My favorite is the clacking sound of the tracks
Where did this take place?
I’ve never seen a pull with just crawlers.
Very cool!
Box Elder county Fair in northern Utah. There were also some tractors that pulled, but in this video I just compiled the crawlers. It's a fun pull.

They should engage the weight box.

The weight box never moved for the crawlers

Putting chains on is not easy tire chains for each tire weight as much as each of you they go on one way only
