#God uses afflictions to draw us into #His #Word so we can allow Him to deal with the issues of our #heart. If we don’t see God in ALL of our circumstances, the #good and the bad, our #faith will crash. God is not with us in spite of our failure, sin and slothfulness, He is with us because of them. God's tender mercies are above all His works. Go to the #Lord with an open heart and let Him #love you through your #pain and #suffering.
About David Wilkerson
David Wilkerson was the Founding Pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. He was called to New York in 1958 to minister to gang members and drug addicts, as told in the best-selling book, The Cross and the Switchblade.
In 1987, David Wilkerson returned to "the crossroads of the world" to establish Times Square Church. As a pastor of the church, he faithfully led this congregation, delivering powerful biblical messages that encourage righteous living and complete reliance on God.
David Wilkerson had a strong burden to encourage and strengthen pastors throughout the world. From 1999 to 2008, he traveled around the globe holding conferences for Christian ministers.

This wonderful word from Pastor Wilkerson is revelant for today, years after his sermon. Just proves God is the same yesterday as He is today. I so needed to hear truth about infirmities because while in physical pain our thoughts can get very twisted & drive us away from the Lord. My own suffering will be for God's own glory. Hallelujah!

Hi, I did once and he looked elderly BUT once he stood up to preach the anointing really came alive! Great man of God. Now presently we really need to search out ministry's that speak for holiness and separation from the World

2018 my mother being a minister and me being a ministers son that's lived the past 10years in sin . And NOW AM DELIVERED!!!! I don't want to go back into the word when I had Jesus in my heart since an adolescent. I know it's a walk Lord God but I want to Sprint !!! Toward you I thank you I love you loved I accept my king and savior my Lord Jesus Christ and acknowledge my heavenly father the lod God and ask that the holy spirit comes upon me and convict me ! I have had proven to me that prayer works...many times, and I am astonished and humbled.
Whyen I was a terrible sinner, my life was easy, the closer I git towards God, the more difficult, the more testing, the harder things were and are.
The ones lost the most, are not attacked by Satan, he already has them, and he will fight tooth and nail to keep you from God. Its epic.
Praise God for my afflictions, it means so much to me that I feel worthy to be tested. If I wasnt being tested...thats when I would worry.
There is no such person as s terrible sinner
It’s not sin that separates us from God- it’s the rejection of His Son- Jesus the Christ

We need to come to the cross to receive this and it comes by conviction that leads to repentance
We are already forgiven
A reason why there is no more remission of sin for the backslider- they simply need to come back to God - He rejects no one except those who don’t accept Him
You can’t receive a gift if you are not willing to accept it
Also
Jesus said come without pay
This means we do not put money of ANY sort tithes/ offerings to receive things from God- this is spiritual prostitution- we are to simply give out of a happy heart and as He leads to

I found Pastor Wilkersons teaching on RUclips after hearing a recommendation on a Derek Prince teaching video. Both of these anointed teachers are amazing. They just don’t make them like that anymore, at least not in my area. I am so glad I found these teachings!
After attending AA, I said its a compliment from God to be a drunk or a drug addict--God has chosen you for a relationship with Him.
Praise God for His Word thru his vessel. This man really made a impact and still continues to do so. Thank you God!

I'm a spirit filled born again Christian and was attached by satan one night and died and experienced hell. Loved Jesus with all my heart. Been afflicted every day for over 20 years. I beyond understanding.
I'm dyin to hear this one. Was going to listen to him on Copeland again for the umpteenth time.

Three straight years my severe back injury controlled by bladder. I could be but a few minutes from a restroom. Tormented day and night many times sleeping just two hours. In fact I dare not count those nights. I’ve prayed over and again far too many times to reflect. Yet one prayer was answered. “God, am I serving you of hiding behind religion?” I was shown that answer. Because the Lord has delivered me out of my afflictions. Deliverance from the passion of sin was the easy part. Holding me through the fiery baptism that my friends was the test. Now I know what faith it. It’s that seed sown which bears HIS fruit! I am His workmanship, He could never be my workmanship… EVER….

Please pray that my husband gets a job it has been four months. Our car isn't running. Please pray for my husband Gary. He loves God with all of his heart. He is a strong believer but is becoming so weary. Please pray.
Instead of praying that your husband get a job, pray that the will of god be done in your life ask him this in humility with all your heart, humble yourself before the lord pray against your weaknesses. Cry before the lord ask him for his mercy and grace. Seek him first then he will heal your land
“ spare the rod- spoil the child” isn’t a whipping- it’s the word of God - just like when God speaks it’s like a lightening bolt- how do I know? I’ve been allowed to see it and sooo much more!

31.) Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
32.) Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.
I dont think God afflicts us. I think this lesson from God may be misunderstood. Our afflictions are the evils within us that the good in us doesn't yet know how to defeat. When you turn to God, I believe he makes you deal with those afflictions and that is likely the only way to attack the things in our lives that could make us turn to evil ways. If you are willing to accept we all have good and bad in us, and allow God to point those things out to you that are bad, then you have already defeated evil.

Joseph, God has not given you the authority to interpret or explain His word to us. That is the responsibility of the Holy Spirit. Just because you don't agree with God's word does not mean that you are right. You are but a mere man.

You are such a rude person. May God have mercy on your poor soul.
That is absolute bullshit about the man suffering from 'envy' because he questioned why he did EVERYTHING he possibly could to follow God's instructions but still he was afflicted and yet, he looked around and saw ungodly people everywhere around him. This is NOT envy, it is simple questioning and any intelligent human being in the same position would do the same. That is NOT envy. What Christian would want to be an evil person blessed or not - no one.
One of the worst wounds afflicted on a child/person is the judgement and criticism of the child/person abused BECAUSE they were abused. This is vicious and straight from Hell. It is NOT a God observation visited upon the suffering person.

Had God not afflicted me I would not have drawn closer to Him. I wou be what and who I am today. And yes, it is envy of the evil. Been there, done that. BUT I still want Jesus more than everything I see the evil ones getting.
I had an abusive childhood. Then my stepfather molested me. From that to two who beat me. One man killed my seven month old fetus and I bleed to death but was saved by blood transfusions. All this so I could say the Lord brought me thru it all. Thank you Father for my afflictions.
