Oh Wow! I learnt to crochet by making Granny Squares, my Nana taught me and I made cushions, blankets and made myself a poncho!! So much fun, I need to do more crochet, knitting has taken over lately. I definately get 70's vibes because that's when I started crocheting 😄 I love your retro cushion ❤
Hallo ladies from Iceland, it is so relaxing to hear you talking and i love the way of your dialogues. So calm and lovely....i already did the underwing mitts as a Secret Santa present for my youngest daughter. In Germany we call these kind of making presents on Christmas Wichteln....a Wichtel is a kind of gnome😊to knit the mitts was great fun and i did them blue and with a sandy white...and the lower wings also in a broken orange colour ..beauiful...when i saw that you are planning to do the mitts i felt conected with your knitting spirit❤enjoy the summertime and your holiday...greetings from Bavaria
I love how you say that “…feel connected with your knitting spirit” because I have felt that too when watching other makers. Thank you for your sweet words and I love the Witchtel gnome tradition 😊
I loved this episode too! All your projects are amazing. I really like your mom's pink sweater. I didn't see anything to edit out, was so enjoyable. Too bad you had to cut your camping trip short. It's so great to have your mom camping with you and on the podcast. Take care.
Hej Birgitta! This campside episode was great, you always inspire to not let your needles empty. It must have been fun alone with your mum and daughter. Have fun! 🌟
You are both such a fab team !!! Always fun and entertaining so thank you 🙏🧶💃💃❣️just love your dynamic and passion for yarn - looking forward to your next episode already!! 🙏❣️🙏
The soft ripple blanket will be gorgeous. Great calm colors! Lovely combination of colors of the granny squares cushion! The dark brown is a good background.
Awe thanks! She decided a while back to stop coloring her hair to see her greys but after the pandemic she decided to get back to her pixie cut and color ✨
I love your podcast, so nice to see your mother too. ❤️Thank you two for so happy video. 😊 Respect for many projects with you 👍🏻, I have same kind of plan, when we go with our caravan around Finland. Happy knitting! 🧶
Nice to see you both. You are very lucky to have your mum. I lost my lovely mum three months ago. It hurts so much. I miss her so much. Like you I was very close to my mum. She was very creative and made beautiful garments knitting and sewing. ❤
So nice to see you two together again, i lve the view from the camper "window". I am contemplating making a soft ripple blanket as baby gift. Thanks for the inspiration.
I so enjoy watching you and your mom….you two remind me of the friendship that was between myself and my mom. I love the colors in your mom’s quilt…these bright wash cloths are so cheerful!
Thank you for a nice episode from the camping!👍 You make so many nice things, like the blanket, the pillow and sweaters! 👍 Especially I like the colors you have chosen for the pillow! 👍 Have a nice summer future on! 🧶🌞👍
How nice to have a couple “girls” days. Is it wine:30? 😉 🍷looks beautiful there! Granny squares are A big thing here! Grocery girls have an event this summer. Lots of inspiration!
I always love your podcasts with your mom. It’s so much fun. I always called kitchen cloths dish rags. They are what I wash dishes with. I knit them for me and my sister loves them too.
Ok, I am literally 3:55 into the episode and I have laughed so often the kids came to check on me lol I'm loving this "knitters in the wild" podcast....whispering the intro 🤣😂🤣😂
Hi from Yorktown VA. USA. I was so tickled that your mom had a Ford Transit Camper. We just bought one from friends of ours and we are excited to use it. Love your podcast. It's so relaxing to listen to you both. Y'all make a great team.
We are so envious that you are enjoying the beautiful nature in Akureyri. We were only in Iceland for a layover at the airport today. Both my husband and I planned a real trip back to Iceland in the winter. I love the blanket, subtle colours which would go beautifully in any decor. Have fun camping and knitting/ crocheting! Tricia
It was so fun to see your mother with you. You 2 are so sweet. I just got some cotton sock yarn and I'm going to try circular knitting needles with the crazy sock lady. If you like the pattons yarn I could probably send you some if you can't get it there.
Thats very sweet of you to offer but I am able to get it through my sister. I am really loving the feel of pattons yarn. Hope you enjoy the circular knitting needles with Kay 😊
Sitting here in Norway, glued to the tv, watching the devastating news from Iceland! I don't know where you live, but I earnestly hope it's not in Grindavik! Stay safe!
I’m feeling for the people who live in Grindavík as are so many. The town had to be evacuated and some homes have been destroyed or damaged. No one has been injured so that’s a blessing. We live on the west coast and have not been affected by the volcanic activity aside from feeling the earthquakes. Thanks for your concern ❤️
You and your mother are so lovely. I always appreciate seeing that I am not the only one who packs several projects per trip and keeps some back up options available. I hope you both had a great trip!
Ohh, I had such a good laugh at the first minutes of your podcast😅 You whispering and loosing the camera focus, so enjoyable👏🤩 And of course, I love to see your projects🧶😍
So nice to have som glimpses from around Akureyri. At first I thought you where in Ásbyrgi. It looked a little bit like that camp site Wien I saw your background. Where in Akureiri is the yarnstore? By the walking street? Near Glerártorg? Must go there on my next visit. Probably next summer. In Akureyri I have only bought yarn in Hagkaup. There was a little yarnshop in Húsavík a couple of years ago. I went there once. Thank you both for this episode! A nice moment of your company while I am crocheting. Have a good continued camping trip! 🤗🧶🌸🚗💕
We just love visiting Akureyri 😊 The yarn store is on Kaupvangsstræti 21 by the hotel Kea. Definitely visit Garn í Gangi it’s a wonderful store with a great vibe.
We just left Iceland last night and flew back to Canada. The weather last week was so beautiful especially in the North of Iceland. Loved your country!
Yes we had great weather last week up north. When we go camping we decide where to go by where the sun is 😉 Then we just follow the sun ☀️ Hope you had a great trip and journey back home.
So happy to see you 2! You 2 are so cute the way you interact over your knitting& crocheting! Fun setting! We love to camp too. You will love knitting the Underwing Mitts! My DIL asked me to knit them a few years ago... I did! Same colors as pattern! Too good! PS. Who drove the camper home?
Awe thanks ❤️ I’m so excited to start the Underwing Mitts! We had a blast and I drove the trailer there and back. I’m actually pretty good with trailers and backing them into a parking space 😉
Have been enjoying your podcast for a bit. Nice to see you and your mom together enjoying the fibre arts. I will be visiting your beautiful country at the end of August! I’ve been knitting for about 10 years and will be traveling with 4 brand new knitters! Are there any other yarn shops you can recommend besides the one from this podcast. We will have vehicles so can drive anywhere.. Looking forward to enjoying Iceland, Cheers from Long Island, New York!
How exciting to be taking a trip with some knitting friends! I do have a list but I’m sure there are more. - Garnbúð Eddu - Litla Prjónabúðin - Amma Mús - Icewear Garn - Handprjón - Storkurinn - The Handknitting Association of Iceland - Álafoss - Freistingasjoppan sf Have a great time 😊
Such a lovely episode! I will be in Iceland first week of September. I would love to visit the yarn shop you mentioned. However, I could not find the name in your show notes. If you could please let me know...Thank you! ❤
It is so nice to see you together, two beautiful creative women love your podcast ❤️
Love Mom's blanket! Always enjoy the episodes that your Mom co-hosts with you.
Me too! 😉
I love where you are now. I love camping and knitting.

Lovely projects! It's so funny... When it's 18° C here in South Africa it is a really cold winters day and I'm wearing all the woollies😀
That’s so ironic, I would be in a summer dress in your winter 😅
