Don't forget, cobras worst shot is user error and not a biproduct of the head. Everyone should get fitted for their swing... I tried Cobra's new Darkspeed Max and X along with the Qi10 and numerous other manufacturers (ping, mizuno, callaway, taylormade). I had terrible shots with the Qi10 that were shorter and less accurate vs Cobra's Darkspeed X and max which were more accurate for me. The Darkspeed Max gave me similar results to my Aerojet Max so it wasn't really an upgrade, however the Darkspeed X consistently gave me 10 to 15 yards of more carry and faster ball speed without losing my dispersion pattern. To make sure it wasn't a fluke, I tried other driver heads and then finished with the Darkspeed X and had the same results. Moral of the story is, everyone has a different swing and the combination of shaft / driver head that works for me the best most likely won't work for you.... so go get fitted people instead of going off of a youtuber's analysis who has a totally different swing and swing speed then you.
Blaming the cobra for the 2nd drive kinda seems like you had a narrative to sell. To me, it seemed like you rushed the shot. I am a cobra fan, so I also admit my biases.

Darkspeed Max is the best driver i have ever used, i had the Stealth 2 plus and Aerojet LS and liked both but the max just feels and looks better than both and assuming im not getting a ridiculous miss hit, i just cant hit it bad
Went and got fitted yesterday, went in wanting the Qi10, Hit it and hated it, picked up the darkspeed and instantly fell in love for just how much lighter it was than the Qi10, brought my backspin down from 5k to 3k, added 30 yards carry and with the draw weight in the darkspeed max my slice is pretty much gone now! I know i need to work on my swing to get rid of the Slice rather than just letting the club do all the work. but I seriously love the darkspeed

I’ve owned the last 3 cobra drivers and this model is pretty special!
Got rid of my LTDX LS for the same reasons you mentioned, if you're just slightly off the centre then the drop off on speed & distance is very noticeable
I have the LTDx and it’s legit so difficult to hit consistently

I just bought the palm tree edition darkspeed x and it is fantastic. I generally come down on the drive so I create a bit of spin and it has helped me quite a bit. There are probably better choices out ther but I am very satisfied with the look, feel, result, and sound.

Move the heavier weight to the back position for increased forgiveness (plus slightly higher launch and spin) on the Darkspeed X.
I’ve hit both and like the feel of the Taylormade more….not has hard feeling.

I love the adjustability of the DarkSpeed X. Spin is low in the stock setting so moving the weight to the back will boost MOI and still be lower spin. So far, it's lower spinning than my TSr3 with similar forgiveness. I do prefer the sound of the TSr3 but I may stuff some cotton in the DarkSpeed to tone it down.
Thanks for sharing, I agree feel of the titleist is better but performance is very neck and neck
I hit 10 shots at the range and hit 10 shots very close together with the Cobra Darkspeed X and was bit further also. I have Taylormade irons and putter and old driver but I couldn’t not buy the Cobra at £100 cheaper and giving me better dispersion and distance.

20-30 yds more distance. Best driver for me imo.
Was gonna buy the cobra but ended up walking away with the taylormade, my miss hits just went so much further and actually stayed straight. At address I think the cobra wins by a mile, it’s perfect imo. Wish the TM was matte but it’s not obnoxious enough for me to dislike it.
I think he has some bias for Taylormade but if he adjusts the Cobra he can hit the green which can help his game tremendously. So, I would say for speed and consistency the choice is cobra.

What shaft do you have installed for the Cobra?
Both drivers have the Project X HZRDUS Smoke Green 'Hulk' shaft installed.
I would have liked to see how the Cobra preformed with the heavy weight in the back.
That’s a good point, and something I debated doing! But for a like for like comparison I kept the weights as standard.
Cobra have dominated Taylormade in the driver category for years now.
They make some great drivers for sure
Cobra hasn’t ever beat taylormade in any driver line up. Only two pro even play the cobra.

@@jimmybond5. Whoops you’re right there are 3 Tour pros who are playing cobra drivers and 25 playing taylormade Cobra has never out numbered taylormade on and tour. Or in any market share. Very easy to check.
looks to me like the cobra goes quite a bit further, Id go for that tbf as well as liking the look of it more! 💣

I found the Qi10 to be the easiest driver to hit and control. Can fade and draw, darn near, on command. Three rounds in the books with it and 81% fairways. Distance is nice but fairways in my key to having a chance to score.

If left was OOB the Cobra wins... 2 v.good drives and on lost right with Cobra, 1 good, 1 decent and one lost left with the TM... COBRA 🏆

Those bad hits is your swing not the club
The heavier weight placed in the rear slot transforms the Cobra so a little unfair to be honest
I get what you mean - I mentioned that in the video but wanted the test to be neutral in terms of settings for both.

It would be really great for all the general driver testers to not be so shady about your numbers. Every single person who isn't a new golfer should know your shaft is way more important than the head. DO A TRUE REVIEW. SAME SHAFT IN EACH HEAD. SAME LOFT, SETTINGS EVERYTHING. ITS A WASTE OTHERWISE. YOURE JUST A CORPORATE SHILL IF YOU DONT.
