Just ordered my jpx900 forged irons immediately after a superbly comprehensive fitting session yesterday. It was great to take the options onto the range and see he ball flight etc. I hit much better shots with the best two options than with my own ping i15's and the process spotted I was hitting towards the toe but the sole marks were more towards the heel. Hence a more upright club needed. Ping were custom fitted originally though I had a one plane swing a la Matt Kucher. This fitting took away the doubt completely. I know 100% that I have clubs which are going to improve my game and help me enjoy it more due to the forged feel of a good golf shot. And they look great in my opinion though my priority was slightly more distance and higher ball flight. Consequently a hybrid I play will now be redundant and I can get fitted for the mizuno s18 wedges ( so many options and will complement the 900's beautifully ) in a months time. Absolutely delighted with both the process and choice and would thoroughly recommend both the mizuno process and Brian the club pro at Royal Birkdale Gc. I'm a 10 hcpr and will get down to single figures with these clubs I'm sure which was a goal I gave myself to reach by my 60th in August. A great day all in all and actually surpassed my expectations.
Picked these up Tuesday. Played 9 holes on Tuesday. Shot 83,84,78 on Wednesday,Thursday , Friday. 78 was my lowest score ever. Really like the feels of these irons.
I am moving from my mp-67's to these. I am finding my 6 iron spin rates are around 6200 with the amt x100 shaft. Lower ball flight than the mp's. I cant wait to get these from the factory!
just finished fitting these irons (Tour model not Forged). agree the RPM's are low. i swapped shafts (C-Taper X to a KBS Tour X) and the spin jumped in line. i've been in the Ctaper for years but now swapping for the Tours. these irons will definitely require a close analysis of shaft configuration.
Great reviews as always. Any idea however why the JPX 900 forged is spinning less then the JPX900 Hot Metal irons in your review? Do you recon this was purely strike or do you think the Hot Metal iron actually spins more?? Looking forward to your answer.
Great review, Mark! Excited to see what you think of the 900 woods. It probably should be noted here that the 6 iron lost yet another degree of loft from the 850 in the never ending quest to produce more distance. Not sure why Mizuno felt the need to do it to a club that was already pretty strong. Nevertheless, I'll be gaming these in about a week, lol!
Hey Mark. I've just been custom fit for these but my spin numbers are relatively high (6 iron average 6300 rpm) when I hit it about as far as you topping at 168 meters. Is this going to be a problem for me? Cheers from Sweden, love your content.
My only beef is the badge. Kinda chrome-plastic-cheesy. It detracts from the quality look and probably not necessary for feel in an already soft forged club. If it were my decision I may have stamped it in the forging process with the bird or model name.
i would like to see these and the 25's in comparison as 1 of them could be my xmas gift from me to me in the very near future (why wait till xmas if I'm buying them for myself? i will already know what i have got wont i 🎅 santa )

I just purchased a set of these today. Felt really nice in the fitting room. Looking forward to getting mine in less than two weeks I hope.
The finish on these irons is beautiful

Hi Mark. I'd love to see you compare the MP25 vs JPX 900 forged / 900 tour.
Yes me too
Too low spinning for me I think. Interested to see what the numbers are for the JPX900 Tour and how that club compares to the MP25.

Nice reviews on all 3 sets in the mizuno JPX 900 range👍

Mark, your spin was the lowest with the forged version. Would that have anything to do with shaft?
I'm torn between mp25 and 900 forged.
Would love to see similar review on Wilson. Maybe v6 - f5 - c200?
Hi Mark. Enjoy your videos. I would love to see a review of the JPX 900 Hybrid!
Great video quality mate
Will you be reviewing the Chromoly version?

U gonna game these Mark?
How come your not with puma now
How can you get fit for them and check the gaps when they only have a 6 iron most of the time?
Yeah you can't buy a set based on a 6 or 7 iron only. Need to try a long iron too
new camera mark?
He must have gotten a drone
850 forged v 900 forged please Mark
they look very similar
Callaway apex cf 16 vs jpx 900 forged. Please and thanks you.
What's a 'player-looking club'?

900 forged goes farther than hotmetal with less spin. Shies had same result.
Loft is king..... these are 27deg 6 iron. That's a five iron in my brain.
Footjoy hat???
ooooh drone me up? #yesplease
What a beauty #inlove
