The World Health Organization officially removed Toronto from its list of SARS infected areas by the end of June 2003 and the benefit concert was held at Downsview Park on July 30, 2003. It was estimated that 500,000 people attended the event organized upon the suggestion of headliners The Rolling Stones to help revive Toronto's economy after outbreaks of SARS (Sudden Acute Respiratory Syndrome).

    Amazing perfomance.. Kathleen is so young there and it was grand festival with Rolling Stones as headliners.. In 15 minutes she fell in love with everyone )

      23 year-old me is in that massive crowd somewhere. Biggest show I've ever attended, even now, and a miserable, fun day. AC/DC were the other huge act on the bill, but I was an alt-country fan and early adopter of Failer and was really excited to see Kathleen's short set. She held her own with the other middle acts on the bill, like The Flaming Lips, Blue Rodeo and The Isley Brothers. A crazy day, and hard to believe it was now over two decades ago.
