Unlike the original Tekken Tag Tournament, the game's sequel features a storyline although it is still not the series canon. Just like last time, it is more of a "dream match", giving fans the opportunity to play as almost every character in the series up to that point, including some of those that had apparently been missing in the main Tekken storyline, in addition to the character roster of Tekken 6. In the story, Heihachi Mishima has developed a rejuvenation serum, which, as it name suggests, has the ability to regress his appearance and power. After consuming it, Heihachi hosts another King of Iron Fist Tournament, sensing powerful challengers who would come to the tournament.

The beautiful thing about it: before he (seemingly) died, Combot saw that his master, Violet, cared about him. And thus, he realized that he was not a mere bucket of bolts, but a being that someone cared about.
I think i get it, Combot was made purely for battle, so when it achieved it's purpose it was left to roam aimlessly. It wandered for miles seeing many things, along the way realising that it like many machines was just another thing to be used. It eventually came across the scrap yard where it finally realised like all the rest he's been discarded now his purpose is done. After all it's wandering and realising it finally fell apart. I might have gone too into this but that's my theory. A sad end
kierang06 i agree with your theory about it feeling it served it's purpose but i would only add that Combot may have felt that nobody cared for a machines in general, and the junk yard was it's last image confirming his already bleak understanding of the world and it's place in it prior to arriving at the junkyard. Although Combot proceeds to dying, it's maker is there to acknowledge it and give it the respectful farewell that his creation/friend deserves. i say friend because of the attention Violet/Lee is giving his machine. Violet/Lee is known to be cold himself, so its an interesting scene displaying the two sides recognizing a sense of humanity in each other.
Actually Combot was designed to perform tasks besides fighting like performing household chores and other things. Lee entered it in the tournament for advertising purposes😂😂
There was no reason for Combot's ending to hit as hard as it did.
This combot ending is more serious than the main tekken story lore of the mishimas and the king of iron fist tournament
I was expecting a silly ending like Mokujin's. But Combot's ending, managing to play with my emotions was unpredictable.
This is actually similar to mokujin's Tekken 5 ending.
Damn tekken with the endings, I know people aren't happy about the direction the series have gone for a while but they still got passion from the tekken 4 days

This was the first hint that Lee wouldn't have betrayed Lars, repaired Alisa completely and treated her like a person
He already treats Combot, a more conventional robot than Alisa, like a person
Man, this ending is more dramatic than the entire story of Tekken. Combot's ending is my favorite of this game
this is the best tekken ending ever made throughout the entire series
In the end Combot realised the futility of its existence, one of many in a serial line designed purely for battle. Nothing of excellence could be derived from this, and the sight of many other discarded machines became too much to bear.

My friends knew that when I used Combot and Jinpachi Mishima it mean that I was going to get serious. Those 2 were my best team.

Tekken writers with this one probably went like "I doubt if you could make a sad serious ending with a character that last time has much more of a funnier ending" and so they did this
I love how this has an indie short film vibe, this kind of things makes it for Oscars.

Its funny when a character has much more depressing ending in a non canon game, where as the character appears in the canon game, darkest one, he has much more of a funnier ending
