Five important (not all worthy of any success, however) movies starting 1978. * denotes haven’t viewed recently.
Superman 9/A outrageously-casted monster flick has cool moments throughout and script pretty good; C. Reeve made our planet spin backward!
II 9.25/A rare event : sequel betters original, nearly everything clicking with few cringe-worthy moments
III 8/A- highway robbery if critics dislike this lighter episode-really dopey non-black villains aside-since Richard Pryor + temporary evil hero works
Supergirl * considered worst of these movies, people turning away from a hottie being like more famous superhero
IV: The quest for Peace 5.5/B- aside from Gene Hackman “killing” again & necessary anti-war story this barely exists
