It looks like they've finally started digitizing? these clips to improve the visual quality. Would love to buy all these old clips on DVD. It's about time. I wanted all this on video tapes way back in the 1980's. Best kid barbershop ever.
I'll make you jealous. I actually watched their very first song on TV in 1963 and made sure to watch them on Andy Williams Shows ever after. Even taped them on my 1962 Sony Reel to Reel which is still working.
Earnest Susan... I whole heartedly agree!!!! Although the younger generation loves this level of entertainment... I sooooo miss "REAL" talent like this. These brothers are great...and who doesn't love Donny. HappyHolidays! ; )
On this day in 1962 {December 20th} the Osmonds Brothers appeared for the first time on the NBC-TV program 'The Andy Williams Show'... They performed the song " I'm A Ding Dong Daddy From Dumas"... The song was composed by band leader Phil Baxter... It was successfully covered by Louis Armstrong, Phil Harris, Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys, and countless others... {Dumas is a town in northern Texas, population around 15,000}
well i saw joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat in the 8th grade, so i got really interested in Donny. i did a little historical research and fell in love with their music in the process.
I am a woman actually and not a good sir (lol) but thanks for the appreciation. I think most people who are Donny's age don't get how rare it is to have a celeb. in their 50s who's still as clean as donny is (not to mention alan wayne merrill and jay)
What I notice too as a 32 year old is that the "12" year old (I believe correct me if i am wrong) pictured here acting more mature than most "adult" stars.
also was it from "those old days" when adults in their 50's who were celebs as kids still acted respectable like Donny does. Most adults are out to cause as much troube as they can.
I assume you mean the movie when you say Joseph (that you saw in 8th grade) For a good laugh, and a good picture of Donny/Marie as adults search Donny Marie show 1998--a 2-3 year talk show on probably before you were born (or you were really little) basically just a clip show and them hanging out and enjoying one another's company!! Very sweet/
The funny thing is I am remembering hearing Donny talk about that last little dude in the line was dating his "pretty lady" of late and he stole her from HIM!! What stories to tell Donny's kids.
It isn't like Alan could "portray himself as a clean cut kid if he was acting up off stage. push comes to show him and Jay at 7 and 12 act more mature than most celebrities today/
Shig: I agree that his family probably encouraged him to act like a "clean cut whipper snapper" but I honestly think he was that clean cut at 12 as I said more than most adults now a days are. Alan, Merryl, Wayne, Jay AND DONNY all put the person who remarries every five months to shame.
Love this! I watch it over and over. Talented family.❤️
I loved it, thank you

they could bring this entertainment back any day
A+ for pitch control. Add another plus for youth of singers bein able to stay on pitch so well.
okay...don't know how to explain it...I've watched this video every day (at least once) for a week. its addicting. :-)
I miss the 50's and 60's ......and I wasn't even born then!
