    Hi Kudzai, I'm just getting back into coding after using ESPHome for a long time. This video answered all of my questions. If I can connect to WiFi, and publish and receive MQTT, then I can make pretty much anything after that point. Thank you for showing the way so clearly.

    Thank you for such a great explanation for a subject I knew nothing about until now. I am just getting into the Pico and you have taught a great tool to have in my toolbox as I learn! Gregory

    Hello Kudzai. I am having trouble when using the command upip.install("micropython-umqtt.robust"). It is installing on a .frozen/ folder instead of /lib/. Could you help me please, I would be very thankful.

    This video is very useful. Is there a reason you did not use a regular node backend as opposed to the MQTT broker?

    Nice, Looks like no one answers, but maybe someone will answer.. can we use with the serverless free version of hive mq? or have to have a server. (Will ask in Stack Exchange or Stack Overflow if no answer) Answer can be a simple no or yes or yes, but some changes you much research. Thanks

    When I apply the upip.install("micropython-umqtt.robust") command it is installed in a new created folder called ./frozen in stead of installing in lib folder and I can not use the library. How can I fix this?

    I get stuck on two issues. 1) Thonny can only work in Run as Administrator when using Manage Packages, otherwise get the error "Could not find the package info from PyPI. Error code: ". 2) When Thonny is run as "Run as Administrator" I get the following error when trying Manage Packages: "/micropython-upip-1.2.6.tar.gz does not appear to be a Python project: neither 'setup.py' nor 'pyproject.toml' found. Process returned with code 1". Also, in Run as Administrator mode the Pico doesn't connect to the computer. I'm using Microsoft Windows 10 Home and Thonny 4.0.1. The video was useful in showing how to run commands on the shell tab.

      Hey Milton, thanks for your comment. I didn't have to run Thonny as Administrator and had no issues with connecting Pico to computer. I'd encourage you to try this on a different PC.

    hey mate, where did you get the "client id" on the method MQTTClient

    • @industry40tvonline
      @industry40tvonline  Год назад

      Hey Rafaela, I made it up. The client_id can be anything that you choose, but it has to be unique within your MQTT network.
