Emily earned her spot in the top 10. Saying she didn't is preposterous. While the song choice was questionable, her vocals were one of the best of the girls night.
I was hoping at least Melinda would get the "slut-shaming" that was going on with Harry. He was being patronizing and sexist. Exhibit A: look at Keith's commentary. THAT was an appropriate way of addressing her performance. Harry came off as saying that she shouldn't have sung the SONG period, because she was only 18. Ugh. Anyway, Emily has legit fans FYI, because she has a great voice...which again, Harry did not comment on at all. She was one of the best singers out of the train wreck that was girls' rush week.
Sorry folks that dig Emily, but I agree with what they said about her. She won't last very long, because as you can see, she doesn't take advice very well. Adam Lambert's advice to her was perfect for what the song was and would have given her the edge she needed for that performance and she did not listen to his advice AT ALL, making it a karaoke-like performance
Kristen is horrendous, I'm sorry. I don't know how they chose her. MK, Malaya and Majesty are the top 3 girls. Alex, Sam and Caleb are the best guys. Everyone else is beyond forgettable. This is like Season 9 all over again.
Adam and Chris as mentors was great and hope they bring them back every season and cap it off with a performance! Randy didn't say anything remarkable, just generic, Adam zones in and actually gives an example and really pays attention. Majesty and MK my fave
There's never gonna be something like Season 6 or Season 11 again!!!! Those were the best seasons ever!! Melinda is a proof of it!! Majesty is the only one to watch!! Artistry in its best exposure!
fun fact: they rushed the whole season so they could air the top 13 result show in episode 13, season 13. You know what they've got? the lowest rating ever. That's what happen when you challenged number 13
I agree about what you guys said especially for Emily, forget knowing her song, I didnt even know her name until now lol but ANYWAY she did not do Grace Potter any justice AT ALL! I am actually pissed off with the way she sung it she did not embody the emotion of that song. She sung that song like a little girl not like a grown woman. That is a powerful, sexy ass GROWN WOMAN song. The song was way too big for her, she shouldnt have even touched it. OFF WITH HER HEAD!
Actually... there are about as many people who loved Emily's performance as hate it. I'm not one of the people who loved it (it was okay for me), but there are. And they voted. And she's in the Top 13. She did enough to be in the Top 5 girls, anyway. I do think CJ deserved a spot in the Top 13 moreso on his first performance (which I thought was enough for him to be voted through) than his wildcard performance. I also think Jena delivered the best performance of the week (Side note: Did you get the song yet, Michael? It's on iTunes and it's beautiful) The Top 13 overall is good IMO. The only one I don't agree with is Kristen. Did she deserve a chance to sing again? Yes. Did she deserve to be in the Top 13? Probably, only because Spencer and Bria did worse than her. But if they had chosen Briana and Malcolm to sing and she was still chosen, you can bet people would hate her even more than usual.
Emily is 18 and should be able to sing what she wants. Adam gave her good advice she just didn't understand what he meant. She's got potential to go all the way. I like her a lot. Also like Majesty
Sherry M. Sullivan I think the core of the argument (from Harry, Melinda, and Michael) is, hey, sing whatever you want, just act like you know what you're singing about and commit to it. If the contestants can do that, then they'll never get any flack about lyrics from the judges.
Saw them on rock of fame, only thing he could speak, was " bla bla" he realy needs a mental hospital . Music made him crazy, and I mean realy crazy. He himself thought he was funny. realy sad

I voted for Majesty, Emily, Kristen, and MK. I just see it as a 2 singer race between Sam and Majesty. Sam might have a slight edge right now.
For the boys I liked: Sam and Alex.
For girls I liked: Malaya, Majesty, and MK.
