  • How to make a simple bent wire ring on a peg jig.
    A wire jig tool allows many ring shapes to be bent easily.
    After making a wire bending jig tool in a previous video this is the ring I produced with it.

    wow nick! i love these. you're so talented and i love all the videos you share. keep up the amazing work! i would love to see you do a gem setting to put in these rings or maybe an enamel or resin dip then buff it down to the silver to make it like an inlay fill

    Are the solders to join also just regular silver? Or is a special alloy that that solders it?

      Standard jewellers silver solder has a high melting temperature, is mostly made up of silver and can be used on a variety of materials such as copper and steel … N

      Very cool ring, the pattern and the jig technique just opens the mind to other possibilities. It looks like if it was a lost wax casting that takes hours and a long procedure to fabricate.

      I tend to first soak in hot acid to clean off black marks then scrub with pure brass brush and soap for an initial polish then finally into a barrel tumble polisher for a bright finish. … now off out to the workshop to try cuttlefish bone casting a ring … all the best … Nick
