I've never sat through a "health" video for an hour.... before this one. Wow! I'm so inspired and the fact that she is so gorgeous and glowing tells me you can be healthy and live a vegan life. I just don't know how to begin. Which is why she wrote the book. ❤️💕 I gotta get this book
I must be hopelessly inept at reading cues going by the responses of some folks here. I don't consider Alicia to have been closed during the interview. Let's acknowledge that Lewis Howes is a master at asking questions. I have seen other interviews on his show where people are evasive and less than transparent, however this interview was pure joy. My favourite of her films is less known (Blast from the Past with Brendan Fraser). As for her alleged aged appearance........she's in her 40's and looks pretty natural with that trademark smile. Do people even consider that possibly someone may have had a poor night's sleep or a sick child to tend to? Unbelievable nit-picking here. She's living her life doing things that make a difference. She isn't prosyletising for everyone to be a vegan. Merely offering some awareness so that even those who wish to eat meat are at least more mindful. She doesn't mind at tipple either as she acknowledges and I like how she budgets her sugar calories to an occasional drink rather than mindless inhalation of rubbish like donuts or full strength coke or pepsi. Live every day.........
Thank you very much for this great interview with Alicia. It's a miracle. This morning I woke up thinking I want to be a vegan again. (I was one for 6 years). And than this interview showed up on my phone. I have just ordered her book on Amazon. Thank you Lewis and thank you Alicia! You both are wonderful human beings.
I love her down to earth personality & honesty,& the fact that she can talk about personal issues in a general way while still keeping her private life private.which is so important.💗
My perspective completely changed when I came across The Game Changers documentary a few years back. Though I have not gone full vegan yet I am trying my best to have a predominantly plant based diet. Alicia, thank you for being such a beautiful soul and sharing your message to the world. And Lewis, legend as always!
for all of you that are commenting that she didn't open up, i wonder if they watched the whole interview. lewis is so great and i feel like her entire body language changed by the end of the interview. she's been in the business for 25+ years and she's probably guarded for good reason - i can only imagine how many shallow interviews she's done. i think the last 10 minutes were really beautiful. (and ps - she has a 7 year old and is separated. there could be challenges in her life that she doesn't talk about for the benefit of her kid.)
Okay, the beginning of this interview turned me off at first. I read the comments to determine if it was worth my time and saw some pure negativity, some thoughtfully balanced, and some purely positive reactions. With a mixed bag, I decided to take another look. For those who are uncertain, here's a suggestion.... If the beginning seems a little tense and awkward but you don't want to make a snap decision.....I recommend fast forwarding to about halfway through and watching from there first. Then if you see what I see, you might be more willing to go from the beginning to see what gems can be found. (There are many!) My assessment is that it takes Alicia a bit to warm up which I can relate to as an introvert. Also, she isn't big on going deep into her own wounds (not everyone is super open and comfortable with this) but her integrity in the way she lives her life and the way she upholds her values from her products to the social consciousness with which she runs her business REALLY shine through from about 35:00 ish on. I admit I felt like she was just trying to sell products at first but I think I simply felt that because she is not the typical sales person who has learned all the tools and tricks of marketing that get us to be lulled into liking and trusting them so they can sell to us. This is her just being herself and being honest. She is clearly passionate about trying to live her best life and help others do the same in a way that worked for her. She admits uncertainty with her decisions at certain points in her which shows thoughtfulness and humility. But those are things that don't necessarily make you popular. I really recommend giving this interview a chance if you hesitated at the beginning like me.
It sounds like she is getting over a cold or flu or something. People are saying she looks aged, but guess what, people do age. She stands by her lifestyle and I think she's done this interview despite being a bit poorly which shows her integrity and professionalism . We all look rubbish if we are under the weather and by the way she doesn't look rubbish. I love her. She says in this interview that if you don't feel good you are not at your best. Anyway, what's wrong with approaching age? People really don't want their 'celebrities' to look real and have lives. Also I do think she opens up as much as possible but she looks like needing a rest for a bit. But she showed up. She's a wonderful person.
This was the year of her divorce. She had a massive amount of stress of that year, and so it's unsurprising if she looked drained. It's amazing that people can be so superficial and nasty about a kind soul who has tried so hard to do good in the world, both for human beings and for animals.
Yeah I have yet to see a comment commenting on her aging. I think that’s just you trying to covertly state your opinion as if addressing “other people.” Nice try though
Lewis, I think you're an amazing person. You believe in people and their abilities. You believe that we are all better than we think we are. You believe that we are capable of greatness; that we are all meant for greatness. Thank you for believing, Lewis. One day, I will achieve greatness. :)
It is true about vitamins. It is very hard to find quality vitamins as most of them are synthetic. In my office we use Standard Process (not sponsored). They have their own organic farm. One thing to think about is that we shouldn't be taking a supplement for something like a symptom but for a deficiency. Supplements are to supplement our food. We use muscle testing to find the correct supplement for the person.
OMG!!! I HAD NO IDEA ALICIA CREATED MYKIND!!! I LOVE THESE PRODUCTS!!!!!! THIS INTERVIEW WAS EVERYTHING!!!UUGGHH LEWIS YOU ARE THE MANNNNN!!! I HAVE TO GET TO GREATNESS EXPO IN OHIO!!!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🌠🌠🌠 (sorry for yelling in all caps im excited! 🤣)
I like what she said about making the right decision 90% of the time. It's not all or nothing. That is great! Also, we do need to be more aware in general of the practices used to slaughter animals whether we are meat eaters or not. It may help us to be less wasteful and more cognizant of using meat as more of a condiment and less of a main dish. 3/4 of our plate should stem from plant foods.
Lewis, you never disappoint - thank you for doing what you do! Vegan as of 12/17 and never felt better! Didn't realize that Alicia was or the creator of the Kind products but good stuff!
Sihle Godden Wtf is wrong with you?! She's trying to help the animals and the world. And you're complaining that she should've talked about herself instead??
Why bother? It's probably the standard shit: abusive relationships, sexual/physical abuse, self-doubt, eating disorders, blah blah blah But now it doesn't matter what happened in her life. What matters is how she overcame it.
Thanks for all your kind work because you make my days better ! I try to Watch as much as possible your interviews every morning in order to switch my brain on entrepreneur mode. Greetings from France!
Thanks Lewis and Alicia! Well said Alicia! I love how you kept everything positive and informative. P.S. the my kind vitamins changed my life! Huge fan of the Vit D spray and the collagen hair skin & nails 💋💓
She's one of my favorite actresses! For now, I don't see myself ever becoming a vegan. But I love how passionate she is about it and her reasons behind her decision. And her passion makes me wonder what I can do/eat to become healthier in body and mind. Great interview Lewis!
When she first started talking about how there were no clean vitamins out there my first thought was the Garden of Life mykind organics that I love. Never knew she was behind that line though ❤
I will comment on Alicia interview I thought it was nicely done. You guys need to realize she is already in her 40's and now a single mom mostly. This is what a normal healthy looking women with no plastic surgery looks like :) Yes, she looks tired but prob for a few different reasons. She was a little closed from the beginning and then after a few minutes got more comfortable and opened up.
I was breastfed until around 4, very bonded, and still have my fair share of intimacy issues. I am independent to a degree that it is challenging to have intimate relationships....sort of self absorbed, sort of like Alicia seems (takes one to know one, I am feeling). Much love and gratitude for another great and thought provoking discussion.
Wow, a good solid interview! I just subbed to your channel! Wish your guest opened up about personal growth and challenges that she has overcome. Perhaps she's still growing through them. Aren't we all? Love that she's a focused parent and a savvy business woman. Rooting for your success Alicia Silverstone! Thanks Lewis Howes and team!
Based on what? She is passionate about veganism and her brand. It is a great thing to be passionate about and this is the message she wants to deliver. That is somehow fake? There is a reason it is the first thing she brought up. It is literally THE best message to send at the moment with the current state of the planet & society. People are so insecure when it comes to talking about veganism/animal rights. Almost every video on youtube pertaining to veganism is loaded with negative responses. Great interview btw, Lewis.
I think its a little bit unrealistic to expect no one to eat meat. I think a more actionable approach is being mindful in shopping for Humane/grass fed etc. Or at least this is the first step, I cant force my kids and husband to not eat any meat or chicken anymore. But I can be really selective where I shop, I can buy organic, free range etc...Or at least I believe that is the first step, I totally agree with her heart and I think the plight of our animals today is something that really needs to be addressed!!.. But saying 'don't eat meat', is why nothing is changing!!..No one wants to see animals suffer, But we need a better alternative to "don't eat any meat" and In my mind that is a greater push towards 'humanely raised and slaughtered', there are farms and artisans who do this, But it needs to become industry standard!!
Strong and smart woman are damn sexy no matter how they actually look. Alicia is beautiful on top of that. Lewis, as always, super skilled at asking the right question and letting people speak. Excellent episode!
I can't believe all the negativity and judgment. Eating a vegan diet is just like eating on any other diet. If you eat crap you will not be healthy! You have to eat real food from the earth and a variety of it, you do not have to eat animals to be healthy! With that said if you choose to eat animals that's your choice no judgment! I always recommend to people if they want to eat animals to find a local farm or co-op to purchase it from instead of grocery stores. Know where your food is coming from, it should not come from a factory. It's important to share information without judgment and eat as consciously as possible.
That was so interesting because she is so different from most of his guests, super crunchy and femme, and he really seemed to be out of his element during parts of it. But he is so cool because he probably knew that would be the case.
I love her choice words, her vocabulary is unique... Alicia's character in Clueless is, Alicia ;*) but, in no way cluess and I love, love her in American Woman.
Vegans are tasty. Plants have feelings too. ;) I think it is important to recognize there is not one right way to live well. I am excited to see the recipes, and inspired to try to reduce my animal intake again. I was raised in a vegetarian household, and have struggled with autoimmune issue most of my life. Settled into a high protein diet and avoiding most grains and legumes and feel much better. I care deeply about the Earth, and love that the 'impossible burger' is out there, mindsets are shifting...finding a tasty, healthy, affordable, accessible, convenient food plan is always what I try to aim for.
I am conflicted. I have been "flirting" with a vegan lifestyle the past 5 years. Where I am from I have an actual farmer and his family who literally dont kill the animals but if they pass away naturally then they will sell the meat. Also, you can get fresh eggs but only if the chickens lay them as wanted. I believe that is a natural way of being. However, I am still bothered by it when I watch slaughterhouses and so forth. Not sure what to do!
It’s impossible to eat only “happy” animals and eat a meat/animal products heavy diet. I think we should all try to eat less meat/animal products even if you don’t give it up.
It s not for everyone, I agree. I can do no dairy, but i still need eggs and at least some white meat (turkey) 3 4 times per week. I think veganism is also a state of mind, Idk why
Farming animals for meat is not the only industry that is cruel.in many countries they use primates to collect coconuts for free labour ,& they chain them up & treat them badly..so using coconut oil is not the best thing either.
I am watching this now. I came across also meat based diet. And you only eat beef. I thought at the beginning weird bt i came across many people whom love it and experienced great benefits. But I don like animals suffering . The definitely have feeling just like us.
her "it's too personal to share here" really annoyed me and made want to not buy whatever she was there to shill. After that comment I got bored with everything she had to say. It seemed fake. I love Lewis and love how he tried to get her to talk but she wasn't having it.
Why? She came on here ostensibly to talk about veganism, her books, and her vitamins, not to discuss her deep inner feelings and past publicly. There's nothing wrong with that, but I don't see why it would annoy anyone if someone didn't want to share certain things with strangers.
katie boo well just like you don’t get why I am annoyed I don’t get why she didn’t discuss it. It’s another celebrity that thinks she can win by keeping her life a mystery. If you’re not going to open up why bother going on someone like Lewis Howe’s show? The whole point of shows like this is to open up and talk about yourself and your past and especially if you written a book about it. Otherwise just make an infomercial and sell your shit
Im going off meat myself tbh my supermarket has so much waste it's ridiculous so much food is wasted ppl are starving they will rather throw it in a bin than feed ppl
Of course animals are extraordinary conscious loving beings. how dare anyone treat any animal horridly and ignore them as lesser beings. And of course when you eat nutritiously it is healing. GOD is in all life that is naturally made. And its best to think GODDESS first so the mind works to Nuture nature and all is well.
I respect her right to her beliefs,no problem there. But when you have products/samples on the desk in an interview,it's pretty much an infomercial at that point. So thanks, but no thanks.
As a former Vegan/Vegetarian I disagree with her interview. I was born into meat eating then decided to go Vegan because I thought it would help me get rid of depression like she says. I ended up not getting enough nutrients in my body and now I eat meat. Trust me, eating just plants and giving up sugar will not fix your life 100 percent. She is hiding in this interview I can hear it in her voice and the look on her face. She screams anxious wreck.
Liz I tried being vegan years ago because of her book. Sounded so great. Ya after two years I ended up with adrenal fatigue and could barely get out of bed. Quit that and it’s taken some time but I’m starting to get better. I look at her in this video and she looks rundown. Not trying to be catty. Just don’t feel like she looks that healthy. Just my opinion.
There are healthy and unhealthy vegans I would try it again. Maybe check with a plant based health coach. You were on a diet. You were not vegan. Vegan is a lifestyle. For ever. Once you know you can't go back.
To each their own. She's happy with her choice of not eating animals. I'm feeling really good being vegan for 5 years. And you're feeling better eating meats. All is perfect. As long as our choices reflect our life and our belief.
My first impression, was that she does not look well at all. Being an ex-vegan myself, I cannot stand behind the claim that being vegan is the healthiest way to live. Absolutely disagree. But to each their own.
Veganism is definitely not for everybody. But vegetarians and vegans don’t accept that fact. Also it doesn’t prevent cancer and diseases as they claim it does. For many years I didn’t consume meat because I didn’t love it, then I became anemic and everything changed. Now I eat meat regularly and haven’t been anemic anymore :)
I'm not the one to hit dislike on videos, but this was actually the first video in my entire life that I've considered to put a dislike on. Quite frankly, it's pathetic. But there are lessons in it and no, I'm not the one of those who disliked it. But you can count me in, vegans.
I’m surprised at the people saying she’s not genuine. She is so passionate, that’s as genuine as you can get.
This is an honest, kind, beautiful person that just really wants to help people feel better in themselves.
What a pure soul she is. She lives what she speaks.

Michael Paris well said. :-)
straight up
Yes 🙌 ur right - she is amazing !
I just want to shout out to Alicia Silverstone for being so unselfish with her journey. I am inspired❤

Alicia, thank you for being such a beautiful soul and sharing your message to the world. And Lewis, legend as always!
Appreciate you and your support🧡
this woman!!! we need more people like her! thank you Lewis for being so open to her message. I have a new girl crush! #RESPECT
for all of you that are commenting that she didn't open up, i wonder if they watched the whole interview. lewis is so great and i feel like her entire body language changed by the end of the interview. she's been in the business for 25+ years and she's probably guarded for good reason - i can only imagine how many shallow interviews she's done. i think the last 10 minutes were really beautiful. (and ps - she has a 7 year old and is separated. there could be challenges in her life that she doesn't talk about for the benefit of her kid.)
Alicia Silverstone for president!!!
(There are many!)
My assessment is that it takes Alicia a bit to warm up which I can relate to as an introvert. Also, she isn't big on going deep into her own wounds (not everyone is super open and comfortable with this) but her integrity in the way she lives her life and the way she upholds her values from her products to the social consciousness with which she runs her business REALLY shine through from about 35:00 ish on.
I admit I felt like she was just trying to sell products at first but I think I simply felt that because she is not the typical sales person who has learned all the tools and tricks of marketing that get us to
be lulled into liking and trusting them so they can sell to us.
She was actually going through a divorce at the time, also. She seems a little tired.
She's a wonderful person.
a Hollywood star who aged gracefully and without plastic surgery...
I fully agree that she sounds a touch unwell and looks amazing.
Three yrs. later she looks amazing...
Tanvir Ahmed Yay!🌴
you already are great, you just need to realise it ;)
Wow, you just made my day. Thanks, Kerry! :)
We believe in you friend
Thank you so much, Khalil!
I keep waiting for her to say, "As if!" But on a serious note, really great interview! Love her.
Thank you dear Lewis for bringing such a bright shining person to our life this morning! Alicia, you rock! Let's all make better choices
She's such a sweet spirit.
Thank you! It's always great to hear reminders about eating compassionately and seeking a kinder way to live.
I haven't even watched yet but I'm SO excited you got Alicia on the show!!!!
Her passion for healthy living is on par with her acting ability and what a fine actress she is. Admirable.
easier said than done, hope there's more people like her.
I absolutely adore her
Lewis, you never disappoint - thank you for doing what you do! Vegan as of 12/17 and never felt better! Didn't realize that Alicia was or the creator of the Kind products but good stuff!
Great interview! Love Alicia! She looks great!
Real shame when guests aren't willing to be vulnerable. Your scars are what make us relate to you.
Love this!
Sihle Godden Wtf is wrong with you?! She's trying to help the animals and the world. And you're complaining that she should've talked about herself instead??
Why bother? It's probably the standard shit: abusive relationships, sexual/physical abuse, self-doubt, eating disorders, blah blah blah

Wow! Nice to see Alicia Silverstone again.
One of my favorite actors! ❤

Thanks Lewis and Alicia! Well said Alicia! I love how you kept everything positive and informative. P.S. the my kind vitamins changed my life! Huge fan of the Vit D spray and the collagen hair skin & nails 💋💓
Great video! Loving the point of views with veganism & spreading it in a respectful way. The my kind garden of life line is my favorite!!
She's one of my favorite actresses! For now, I don't see myself ever becoming a vegan. But I love how passionate she is about it and her reasons behind her decision. And her passion makes me wonder what I can do/eat to become healthier in body and mind. Great interview Lewis!

Wauw Alicia Silverstone!! ... Í'm going to watch this with a cup of tea ;))
Great video Lewis! As always bringing valuable information to the masses 💖
She's a great person!
Love you Alicia !!! Will buy your book.
beautiful woman
What a babe. Love you Batgirl! ❤
Love Alicia!
This was soooo good! Thanks
I had a hard time relating to this, as she came across fake. It's ok to be vulnerable, to open up and be real, that's what makes you YOU.

Wow ...she is still intense....but I agree with her veganism. 🕊
Thank you Lewis for being so patient 🙂

Outsmart & Outwork you are right, nothing like a woman who knows she has purpose and where she’s going!
Word
I agree. She is still beautiful. She looks like her real self and she embraces who she is. I love this woman.
i LOVE the impossible burger. my god!!
loved her in Killing of a Sacred Deer

I enjoyed listening to This, thank you✨🙏
I really relate to her son ! She is so fun

I have been using MyKind Organics supplements for years! #Vegan B12 and D3 and Collagen for Hair, Skin and Nails

No one ever mentions Blast from the past. I think that's very underrated movie
It’s impossible to eat only “happy” animals and eat a meat/animal products heavy diet. I think we should all try to eat less meat/animal products even if you don’t give it up.
Very nice awesome
Great interview
She is so inspiring👌 Though m vegetarian but I love junk food too!! Especially in Festival season!! I eat anything!! Lol!! I love chilly potato!!
BATGIRL... YES
She is a true rule model
🙌
I'll be at the VegFest in Novi, MI on Sunday. I hope to see you there Alicia!
I feel exactly like she's describing in terms of feeling amazing on the carnivore diet. Veganism destroyed my health.
It s not for everyone, I agree. I can do no dairy, but i still need eggs and at least some white meat (turkey) 3 4 times per week.
I think veganism is also a state of mind, Idk why
she really didn't wanna open up in this interview.... it was frustrating to listen to....
It started with business from the get-go, probably what it was (shameless self-promotion?) ;)
Farming animals for meat is not the only industry that is cruel.in many countries they use primates to collect coconuts for free labour ,& they chain them up & treat them badly..so using coconut oil is not the best thing either.
Long live Dr. Sebi 👁
I've been saying her name wrong all these years!
Think I don’t want a doctor,my doctor is Lewis
Im going off meat myself tbh my supermarket has so much waste it's ridiculous so much food is wasted ppl are starving they will rather throw it in a bin than feed ppl
I’m vegan but I’d eat that bat any day! Always had a crush on her as a teen
Ainda é linda❤
What about Batgirl???
Oh my!
She is the same as me, 42, but she looks like around 50.
Yeah, maybe she needs vitamins. She isn't looking so good, but she does look better than if she had terrible plastic surgery.
You kiddin? She looks 35 to me.
HI guys, why don't create a WhatsApp group which we can exchange ideas and thoughts through, so who's with me?
Lewis...."No way I'm giving up my steak"
I respect her right to her beliefs,no problem there. But when you have products/samples on the desk in an interview,it's pretty much an infomercial at that point.
So thanks,but no thanks.
So not eating meat is the secret to self worth? She mostly talked about her diet.
There are healthy and unhealthy vegans
I would try it again.
Being an ex-vegan myself, I cannot stand behind the
claim that being vegan is the healthiest way to live.
I wish to be mom 🧕🏼
