OMG just researching Montreux today and then a few hours later this video drops. Love both of you and the content and has massively helped in planning our trip to Switzerland next year :)
I always look forward to your vlogs dropping! our trip to Zermatt is coming up quickly and I am feeling the last-minute push to lock down train passes, day trips, etc.! I just purchased your Zermatt Itinerary and am excited to delve in and make my train choices and restaurants picks already, LOL. thanks so much for doing what you do! oxox
Alexis I’m with you on the prudishness. I’m American as well and I’m often “surprised” by the lack of modesty when it comes to one’s body in other parts of the world. We will be experiencing all things Switzerland in August 2024 and soooooooooooo looking forward! Your videos have been so invaluable.
I have loved Montreux since I was a child visiting relatives in Fribourg. Pity there's no mention of Every and Les Pleiades but such a wonderful itinerary.
Thank you for the very informative video and a special thanks to Louis. Thank you for pronouncing the place names in the original as a French Swiss. I'm very interested to hear how the names are actually pronounced.
Wow, very informative. Are these trips cover by Swiss travel pass? 1.Especially CGM steamboat at Lavaux, n to visit the wine tasting too. 2. The train up to Rochers de naye 3. Boat trip to Lausanne 4. Train to Gruyexes. Thank you.
Hello Alex & Louis, this summer we are staying in Villeneuve for 3 nights. So, 1 day we will visit Gruyère and Broc. The next morning visit Chillon Castle and the afternoon seeing the local wineries. Any suggestions for wine tasting in Villeneuve. Kevin
You can see alot of christmas markets, and Montreuxs is one of the best. You should also absolutetly do the "Bains de Lavey", its like a geant spa openair.
Nice video guys thank you, I'll be arriving in Montreux from Geneva and staying around 3 hours before taking the Golden Pass, do you know if the train station have baggage locker so we can leave 2 carry on while we walk around town? Thanks again
What’s the difference between first and second class on the cgn boats on lake Geneva? We are considering taking a trip to Yvoire from Geneva. The price difference for our group (with 1/2 fare card) is 91 CHF
What’s the likelihood of the cable cars in glacier 3000 operating late December? I play to visit here on a day trip from Geneva and would attempt to go if they’re working. I’m hesitant to fork out a small fortune on tickets for a day trip if they’re not going to be working
if you are looking for a good 4 star hotel then I would suggest the Eden Palace which is located on the promenade next to the casino.(it is in the beginning of the video)
Hotels fairmont overpriced better hotels for far less. Jazz festival has become way too commercial especially with the hundred stalls that appear for every festival thru out the year. The town units self is boring. The lakeside promenade is superb. Walk to castle return via lake boat. Walk the lavaux interesting terraced vineyards

Listening to Louis is so calming and i don't lose my breath...our base was lausanne and we covered the others as day trips
I'm so happy to have found your channel! Switzerland is my bucket-list travel destination.
Just came back from a tour around Switzerland and Montreux was by far the prettiest of the places we visited. Will look at visiting the Xmas markets👍
Same here. We are headed back in April and hope to book a place in the vineyards.

Thanks for sharing! I visited Montreux for a couple days last year and definitely have to go back!

Thanks for the video! It would be great if you add your places with a video timeline
Thank you 🙏 ❤️
This is on my bucket list ✨
Super, I like this places very much too!!!
Amazing video thanks so much
I like the ability to take day trips from a "home base," so you don't have to pack up and move hotels everyday.
Thank you! So helpful! Looking forward to going in September. 😊
Very Nice!! Going to Montreux in August 024

Hi ! I love your video … We are coming to Switzerland in Dec… lots of the lift & gondola are closed this time … suggestion ? Thanks 🙏🏼

Yes there are lockers of all' different sides at the montreux station

First class has a very nice upper deck with their own outside areas that isn't accessible to second class ticket holders and will be less crowded
I need help!! My hubby and I are visiting next May for our 5th Anniversary for 16 days. What are the MUST SEES?!
What’s the likelihood of the cable cars in glacier 3000 operating late December?
I play to visit here on a day trip from Geneva and would attempt to go if they’re working.
I’m hesitant to fork out a small fortune on tickets for a day trip if they’re not going to be working
they’ll work ! It’s a popular ski destination they are well equipped for snow
Good information, thank you!
Just curious- first time to watch your post- why is the guy not talking? Seems more like a monologue.
What is the name of the boat line at the end of the video?
Where can we get the Swiss flag pillow in the background?
I got mine in Migros!
We want to visit Switzerland for 10 days then northern Italy. If you could only go once where would you go in Switzerland!
Its called Lac leman
Not in English
I like your recomendations, but hotel Fermont is 730 CHF per night in June. I wouldn't recomend at this price. Only few people can afford this.
if you are looking for a good 4 star hotel then I would suggest the Eden Palace which is located on the promenade next to the casino.(it is in the beginning of the video)
In their description, they were "hosted" by the Fairmont which means it was free, lucky them but unfortunately unlucky us😢
Remote the damn background music
We love your presentations though you are a very fast talker. We miss half of what you are saying and that is too bad since it must be great info.
I assume you’re talking about me (alexis) and if so, it’s the New Yorker in me!! I have to actively think about slowing down
Plus the background music is so distracting. But otherwise your videos have great content.

Going during winter gives you a lot more to do. The Christmas market is incredibly beautiful during November and December.
Love it.. but let your husband speak😂
Fairmont palace is superrrr overpriced😬 there are tons of other gorgeous hotels way cheaper that are just as nice
