This has been stated in many of both Tia's and Cory's interviews going back many years. It is clear that Cory is a family-oriented guy, and he has been on record putting his then wife and children (his family) first. Now that they are no longer married, he is beginning to put more of his energy and time into other things.

But the fact remains is that Cory has already signed contracts for three upcoming movies. So the guy is doing pretty well, and that is good to see. And regarding the "Divorce in the Black" movie getting some poor reviews, such as on Rotten Tomatoes, many of Tyler Perry's have received poor reviews, especially on mainstream forums. But those same movies brought in A LOT of money -- so much so that Tyler Perry kept on grinding on his so-called "poor review" movies that he is now a billionaire who now owns his own movie studio on a sizeable amount of land in Georgia. Cory got paid for having a leading role in that latest Tyler Perry movie...and Cory will be getting paid well on his next film projects too, and that is the bottom line.

It's amazing how it's double standard. When a man doesn't want to be married to his wife, anymore nothing is said. But if a woman says she doesn't want to be married to her husband anymore, it's wrong. No one knows what went on behind closed doors, but the two of them, their family and true friends, you don't hear them talking about.
Everyone has a right to move on. It's the interviews and videos after the fact that are distasteful to her kids and father of her kids. Leave and do you. But at least respect your family.
