So he taught me the spread eagle and the gut wrench that year and ha the same results lmao. Twister/geotine definitely a great move if the opportunity presents itself. Almost impossible to counter once you get the leg and the arm in your hands

Compared to modern pro mma fighters, bruce lee’s physical capabilities are mediocre at best but people still give him credit for his philosophy of adopt what works and lose what doesn’t, which is the foundation of modern mma.
He was just a pioneer in mixing previoulsly known and unknown martial arts doesnt mean put against a modern UFC fighter he wouldnt get destroyed of course he would

@gugu 1 the twister can definitely inflict serious damage on your cervical spine. Do you practice BJJ? Have you been put in a twister and put other people in a twister? There is no doubt it can injury your cervical spine. And a s a physiotherapist I can assure you your neck doesn't like to be rotated past its range of motion. Serious chance for disc injuries and facet joints. And if your rough enough who knows what else will give. I'm sure there are many other possible injuries with a twister. But neck injuries are the scary one. And the reason why most people are fast to tap once they find themselves in a twister. I'm not looking for rib injuries, but I can deal with them if I happen to make a mistake and tap to late. I'm not taking any chances with neck injuries when they are avoidable.

me and my friend at the jiu jitsu gym we used to play a game which we would choose one submission for the roll, guillotine, armbar etc once we played for the twister and it was one of the most painful submissions i ever had, felt like my spine is gonna snap. tip from an experience, dont ever try to shoot your leg so you can go to the other side, it's gonna make the spine pain 100X worse.
Korean Zombie's Twister is more beautiful because the right arm was absolutely TRAPPED behind his back. Bryce's was a bit loose, but still a great job nonetheless.

It’s much more likely to blow a disc or tear a ligament. Luckily fighters necks are usually pretty resilient, so hopefully most of these guys were ok
