    If you were to give the LSX II a score out of 10 base on this video, what would you give them?
    Heres is a link to the official site if you want to pick them up : kef.world/u6f

    If u have reed this msg have a wonderful day😁
    And i could probably pick up the ls50 meta for around €700 used

    With not using the original LSX speakers to compare these to (which the title suggests), makes this video rather pointless and just a comparison between theoretical specs.

    My problem is that I can't really judge how to connect the LSX I to the computer. I would think that via 3.5 mm is the best connection (just like my Logitech are connected)? For the LSX II, I would use USB.

    I had a pair in red of the LSX one, but sold them after less than a year because the app (or should I say apps) drove me crazy. I hated the remote too. Good to see they've listened. Shame. They sounded great.

    I agree with your enthusiasm for these speakers, but at $1,400 they're kind of pushing the envelope of affordability. Not sure if you're in the US, but Accessories4Less is clearing out KEF's A quality refurbs at $799. Given that the drivers and the amp are the same, I'd opt for the refurbs and a Wiim Mini streamer (by passing KEF's connect app) and call it a day.

    The remote looks different from the LSX 1, which was trash. It wasn't rechargeable nor bluetooth (only IR). The plastic case felt cheap, the button clicks were clunky, and the button layout makes it hard to tell what you're pressing without looking. How does the new remote compare?

  • @tjbatistasantos

    Great comparison mate! I’m really keen on getting either these ones or the LS50 II wireless.
    What was your feeling on trying the LSX II in a small room (30m2) to watch a movie? Enough sound coverage and punch?
    Last one 😁, what would you say is the optimal way to pass the music to the speakers to get the best sound quality? Using the arc?
    Thanks again! Cheers

    • @WhatGear
      @WhatGear  2 года назад +1

      I believe PCM is the best option for these and the LS50. For me personally, if I was buying them for movies… 100% get the sub. 30m2…the LS50 will give you a bigger soundstage but at a cost 💰

    Product is great, but Customer Service is the worst I ever had to face in France, months to get KEF LSX repaired and still waiting with a very poor communication quality, arguing the component shortage but at the same time selling massively, it just doesn't make sense.
    Be aware if you are willing to buy any KEF product, you will certainly be disappointed despite the excellent quality of the product.

    • @LuisXGP
      @LuisXGP 5 месяцев назад

      @@CDPA7 Is not that I can't afford it... frugal, maybe, but not in the normal way.
      As I said, I can afford it but that is not the end of the problem. A top notch component, need top notch partners. For example, a $70usd PC Monitor won't be able to fully use the power of a $1000 gpu video card. Same for a $700 cpu, it will throttle in a $70 motherboard with its $10 stock heatsink.
      Computer is an easy subject, there aren't that many variety of components to be concerned about and it has become as easy as to chose an equivalent $$ piece. For example, a $500 motherboard for a $500 CPU will work fine.
      But audio can be much more complex. Starting for special energy cables, special power filters purifiers, special audio cables, special audio dacs, special audio amps... if the speakers are $1600, the dac/amp should be at least $800 each one... so we are really talking about a $3200 investment. And lets not talk about the stands, the mufflers and space design...
      Although I cannot afford it all at once, surely I can buy all that within a year, but the added complexity of chosing the right components to pair those speakers is what really stops me.
      I once had DT880 600ohms and I couldn't driver them properly with a Shit Magni, neither with the Objective 2 amp (both supposedly able to drive 600ohms)... maybe because those were $100 amps for a $300 headphones, but my biggest fear was, what if I buy a $300 amp and I still can't get it to make it work right ? What if I still need a $300 dac ?
      I currently own Klipsch Promedia 2.1, Hivi Swans OS-10, HK Onyx Studio 4 and Klipsch KHO-7... the 60w of Onyx are very capable to drive some bassy power even at half power (30w on battery), but the 150w of kho7 arent capable of delivering that kind of bass, even if EQed, it doesn't get the proper feeling. Same with the Swans, the bass range is big but the response is lacking compared with the Promedia (which has smaller/"weaker" speakers).
      So yeah, it is frugality, but in a sense that I won't expend blinded that kind of money for a sound that may not be what I would want to get for that amount of money.
      Sorry for the big text, kinda hard to simplify it.

    I have the LS50, ls50w, lsx I, dynaudio xeo 20, and about 10 other pairs of speakers.
    I've used the lsx with sub and without. They still can't beat the ls50w for larger spaces.
    For smaller spaces like a bedroom or small pc room the lsx I are detailed and do well. I would not pay extra for the lsx ii, as I don't need the extra connectivity and would rather by a high end streaming device with room correction than pay extra for the lsx ii
