The ravens make enough noise to draw her attention and she wants to make sure they don't mess with her nest. The ravens are just as territorial as the eagles and they have learned how to exist together. It was a beautiful, clear day and it looked like Jackie had enjoyed a very big lunch. Wonder if Shadow was still feasting on something, not worried about the ravens.
Argh! Those raving ravens! I think this is why eagles glare so intently around them: always have a watchful eagle eye! And an alarm cry to match! Not sure where they spent last night, as I didn't see them in the RT. Delighted to see Jackie now!
Me personally, J&S all live with these birds every day, I named blackbird Emma ,because she had her babies, and I truly think she celebrates Jackie with her nesting and going to lay some eggs. Because heck nature knows better & before us humans..🫠🫠🤦♀️ at least that’s my take on it❣️✨Forest neighbors they are 🥰🥰🦋🌻❤️
Saw her sitting in the nest after she had arrived and been sitting. Read the FOBBV updates to see what brought her to the nest. Ravens in the cellar. 😮
Jackie lays her eggs in January. Fluff obviously comes before that. However, I'd say that this nest is and has been the stick-iest of any eagle nest I've seen. These two - especially Shadow - love them some sticks. Fluff always seems in short supply in Big Bear.
Thank you. Cause I see other eagles in other areas and they are hatching eggs and nests look softer. 🙏🏼just want these two to have the best success, they are my favorites.
Sure they would. But Jackie, as you can see from her prompt response will circumvent that from happening if the clutch was meant to happen. You have to consider all factors on this nest. It's not the norm. This pair has many obstacles to contend with. Not the prime environment some seasons. For a variety of reasons. But, not impossible either. I am proud of this pair and they can teach us all a lesson.
Jackie the queen 👑 protecting the nest 🏡 keeping a firm line with those crows 🐦⬛ She is magnicent 💘
As she should...
Spirit compels her.
Beautiful gift to humanity..
Thank you Cali!
Many thanks, Cali Condor! Makes my day. ❤
So happy to see her and how long she stayed❤

My absolute favorite chortle! Jackie is just stunning! Thank you Cali! ❤️🦅
Can't believe, another year has gone by. 😮
Good luck, J&S ❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Noisy ravens 😮 hello Jackie love listening to them ❤❤❤
Keep those Ravens away from the nest bowl Shadow or they're going to cause trouble .....never a dull moment with them❗️😘❤️🇨🇦🦅🦅

Has Shadow been seen lately? I haven't seen him since the 9th.

I guess we can thank the Raven’s for having Jackie come by but man, they are pesky little things lol
Thanks to Cali Condor for the video 🦅🦅

Shadow you’re slackin. You’re supposed to be the Air Support Interceptor Raven Patrol 🦅
❤
Hopefully, if they have any eggs that are viable, they won't be careless and leave the eggs alone for too long. 🤞 But nature will be nature.
Still not born eggs yet, I'm forward for Jackie born eggs..
When do they normally lay eggs? When do they bring fluff to nest?

@elizabethsetterlund8160 Mine too. 😍
They will definitely destroy any egg as food.
