As far as the waves in Florida...it depends on which side of Florida you're on...west coast (gulf of Mexico) tame ... East coast (Atlantic) can be rough depending on the weather, wind. I love the Atlantic side myself.
Robert, the mystery piece you are holding in your hand at the 17:02 time stamp, is a (hair Barrett). There would be a piece of stiff metal rod, (might have been a silver alloy) bent into a long skinny arch. The arched end of it fits under the small silver looking clamp thingy on one end, then you squeeze the ends of the rigid metal prongs together, until they slip in between the metal pieces on the other end. That style was very popular back in the seventies, so could have been there a long time. Most likely made some place like the Philippines, where many things are made by hand. You should (test that piece) out, cause it is most likely copper and silver, if from the seventies.
Robert hi, stone with holes in it looks like a ancient Indian artifact. Called a fire stone, used in conjunction with a stick to aid in starting fires. Seen some on internet for $125
Nice finds Robert I wouldn't clean that fat silver any more than you have, it gives it a nice patina. The broken piece I think is a part of an astrological symbol that hangs from a chain and worn around the neck, of coarse I could be totally wrong GL&HH
Robert, by the way, there are collectors for keys, (I'm one), dog tags, (both kinds), Bird Leg Bands, (like the ones on pigeons) Bands for Rose bushes, Broken watches and clock parts, (called Steam Punk). You might want to separate them out til you get a few and either sell or do a giveaway, eh?
All genuine Rolex Chronographs(watches) have registered serial numbers...If the one you found has one (on the back),you can easily trace the retailer who will be able to contact the purchaser. If it doesn't have that serial number,it's a Tijuana timex.Fake...
If everyone searches with the detector that masks treasure next to iron, why not go with an E trac? 2 lbs. and goes deeper? Im looking at buying a detector and weight is a huge factor[bad back] Thanks
Why don't you say you're at Huntington Beach. I used to be there in 1960 -70-80-90-2000 when it was pristine waters 1960's no pollution and no foreigners illegals ruining the blessings of native born Americans.
Once I buried a bottle with a nickel in it and a note that said "nice metal detector."
I’m gonna do this now
I see your using the Florida Straight Shaft design shaft for the Excalibur. No matter who copies my design I was the first to make it!
Thanks for sharing your whole adventure with us, lunch and all.
Great hunt Robert, from toes, belly button , fingers and ears. Cheers Mate 👍🇦🇺
