I'm from Wellington and have lived there my whole life. I have spent many summer around here and even performed a show in the other part of the mill further down the road. We known the mill as Fox's Factory and they did have plans to turn it into apartments but that was overturned. It is now a heritage site owned partly by Deborah Meaden that is grade 2 listed so they have done some repairs to stabilise the structure but they can't affect it in anyway or knock it down. It's part of our history and I have always wanted to go inside. I remember as a kid walking the length of the river (in the river) underneath the whole building to the other side. They should really restore it to a reasonable state and then display all the amazing things left there. Fox Brothers still exists and still produces fabric in part of the mill and sells it at their shop over the road.
amazing...such a shame to see such places disappear without being filmed first..i did this with my old Victorian school but the vhs tape is non working tho I still have it somewhere...this should be carried on as these places just die away into time and are gone forever...brilliant..inspiring..thankyou

Selected this one just now cause I been watching on channel 4 player Quarry Bank Mill Cheshire. It's a really good history drama. I wonder if any of it was filmed at this one or is a film company going to make another drama at this one. They rebuild parts of building for films. Like how I saw it shows that on the facebook page for Quarry Bank Mill drama. They rebuilt for the production.
Hi Abandoned Explorer, I'm receiving your videos all the way over to North America, in Dallas, Texas. I'm really enjoying them. You are very brave to do what you do. In one of your videos you said that some people thought you had a lisp. I often wonder why people can't detect accents. I could clearly tell that you have a British accent. where as, if you heard me talk, you would clearly be able to detect my Texas accent. I love your accent, and I love your videos. Keep up the good work, but try to keep out the foul language please. Thank you for entertaining us.
Is this here still and accessible
those green machines are called wineders in the beginning
They should put roofs on all the buildings then they can do some work to restore part of it as a museum charge ppl for tours show them how cloths or made and dyied
They are actually redoing the factory btw
Hello! This is brilliant! I teach History and would love to bring some students to look at this amazing building (from a safe distance!) Does anyone know about latest developments? I'm aiming to do a project which includes studying effects of the Industrial revolution in and around Westbury/Trowbridge area. Is it possible to walk around the site? Any help or advice would be great. Cheers. Amanda.
