I didn't really think too much of Ellie from what I'd heard so far, but that was before I watched her Glasto set yesterday. I thought she was tremendous - great voice, great stage presence, super sexy, and bursting with energy. What more could you want! Best set of the festival I thought.

I agree partially. Live singing is much harder. However i have to say, Boyz 2 Men are the best live singers i have ever heard. They sound exactly like the recording plus more. Sometimes you just have to know what artists are actually good at what they do.

Some genres are easy to be performed live and other genres are fucking difficult. The electronic genres are the hardest ones you can't perform them perfectly as the record, so you have to adapt it (in Ellie's case, she made an acoustic fersion, perfect!). At least did you ever listened the original version of "Burn" song? Its fully ignited by electronic instruments and stuff, which are overwhelming in a live situation. Try to put Boyz 2 Men or any spectacular singer to sing an fully electronic song (as Burn) and you'll see they won't shine as much as you'd expect.
