Fonzie Drops In was my favorite episode of the entire run. Even with the windbreaker, the music cues and camera angle at the end was absolutely epic and wholesome at the same time.

Henry Winkler was in a tragic Big Wheel accident with 4 other toddlers in kindergarten but never likes to talk about it. Now that's cool. Aaaaaaay

Nice bikes! Apparently Henry Winkler couldn't ride for toffee.

His dyslexia made it difficult for him to operate a motorcycle.

Bud Ekins built three Fonzie TR5 Triumphs that were rented to the studio. Perhaps he was wrongly told the one he tried to ride that day was the Great Escape TR6, or maybe it really was, after all the scene wasn’t used.

@@meofnz2320 he made the statement on a talk show..a quick search shows this..
Henry Winkler's character Fonzie on Happy Days rode a Triumph motorcycle that was also used by Steve McQueen in The Great Escape. In the movie, McQueen's character, Virgil Hilts, uses a Triumph TR6 Trophy motorcycle to jump over a barbed-wire fence at the German border. The Triumph was a stand-in for the BMW R75 that Hilts had earlier stolen from a German patrol officer
In later seasons, it was a mildly 'bobbed' Triumph Trophy 500. As he could not ride, Henry Winkler says that he learned on the same Triumph 650 6T ridden (and jumped) by Bud Ekins in 'The Great Escape' and ended up stuffing it under a truck

Harley Shovelhead the first few episodes. I think the tank was dark blue or black.
The silver tank bike is a Triumph. That's most of the shots from season 2 on.
I forget what the dirt bike was.
The last year of the series they borrowed a title clip from CHiPs for the Motorcycle Hums portion of the song. The big disk brake on the late 70s Kawasaki cop bike was not in the show.

The cool Fonz had to switch to Triumphs because he couldn`t hold up a Harley ROTFL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also the Harley was a pain i the neck for the grips and stage hands in the studio and trailering it to the drive-in location shot. A Triumph is a much more nimble pushable bike.
