Both defenses have to keep the play in front of them? That pick by the New Orleans db was spectacular.

Tucker had the heart ailment that caused him to go undrafted and miss most of the 2023 offseason. He got cleared for training camp but was too far behind mentally to have an impact. This is his first real season.

He questioned if he remembered right that Sean Tucker had an injury last season in the video. Just filling out the background on the kid. He had a heart problem and it almost ended his career before it started.

I’m sick of this crap, another 4th quarter meltdown by the defense. This defense is a shell of their 2023 selves.

opposing qbs have had a lot of luck against the ravens pass d. how can brandon stephens be the stickiest lowest-separation defender in the NFL and give up so many bombs? forget statistics. pass after pass has been bullseyed against brandon. even Minshew was throwing with ridiculous accuracy. that can’t go on forever. that said, the gaps in coverage fall on the rookie DC,

“SlowQuan” and the linebackers (Harrison) when in the game have been absolutely horrible in dropping into their zones, and in coverage in general.
Stephens hasn’t given up bomb after bomb, that’s an over statement.
He’s given up lots of contested catches, certainly… In his defense he’s played some elite WR and great quarterbacks (ball placement etc)
All corners will “give up plays” …even in man coverage, many of the big plays the Ravens have given up have been when the Ravens are in zone coverages…
Tight Ends, running backs, have killed the Ravens over the short middle and low zones, specifically targeting the Linebackers.
Marcus Williams, and Eddie Jackson have had very little impact… on the field…
      Back to Brandon Stephens.
The film doesn’t lie, the stats don’t lie, he’s not giving up a ton of bombs.
He’s technically sound… damn near every play.
I do wish he’d play the ball more than playing through the receivers hands…
I agree it is also issues with the new DC.
But again, Roquan has been far below average in pass defense, honestly just spy and or blitz… change up the personnel… I’d rather see Beau Brade get some snaps. From what I see, he’s one of those guys, (Geno Stone, Ladarius Webb back in the day) guys that are always around the ball, and just know how to play defense, and can excel in their roles.
Chuck Clark had it m, but he was limited by his size, and his propensity to gamble.
The secondary will be okay, I’m confident, too much talent.
Brade is also known as a hitter.
Willams, Jackson, are known for their coverage and play making ability.
FTR, I was never a fan of Marcus Willams, going back to him selling on the Diggs play when he was in New Orleans.
EDC has wasted money on the wrong safely in free agency, twice. First Earl Thomas, now Marcus Willams.
Would’ve been better off and cheaper, signing the guys they developed like Stone… never quite understood either move.
