At it's base the Webway and some of the lore written for it clearly indicate a "multiverse". In the various Dark Eldar novels we find out that the beastmasters hunt creatures they find in the webway and bring them back to use in the Arena. These "beasts" come from "other universes". Because of the nature of the webway these breaches into other universes appear to happen often enough that creatures enter the webway and then are trapped but some find means to survive there. So it makes sense that there are other universes besides the Material, the Webway, and the Warp. The OE lore, until it was updated, had the C'Tan being from another universe. Kind of a Negative Energy Plane as much as the Warp represented a Positive Energy Plane. Aka gods of unlife. Though that has been changed and now the C'Tan are the Material Universe laws given form aka the Material Laws as opposed to the Warp being emotive or laws of the soul.
@neanderthal-I think that the necrons knew of these other dimensions and used them. The imperium came to know the warp as the only means of interstellar travel, but the Necrons obviously have other methods, no doubt using these other dimensions as a means of travel as well. Perhaps during the DAoT there were factions that had figured out other means as well. There are other methods though obviously so it's unlikely that the necrons were the only ones to figure out several others.
We do know that there is different realms in the warp for example the deep warp a place so horrifying even the chaos gods refuse to go anywhere near it and only a single greater demon of Tzeentch made it out alive but he’s so mentally unstable that it’s pointless to even ask what he experienced.
I once made my own “homebrew” alien army. I ended up basically rewriting daemons, so I scrapped it. This makes me inspired to give em a try again and tweak them a lil.
Did the same for the the 11th legion. It was the only female primarch but she landed on a xenos world and refused to destroy it. The planet was destroyed (obviously) but the big E could not bring himself to kill his only daughter so he sent her away on a ship in cryo.
you could make them demons from another galaxy. mayhaps one where the warp gods congealed along the lines of the seven deadly sins instead of hope/despair/love/hate.

You know how the warp is like the "pscyhological dimension"? What if the ghoul stars dimension was the "material" dimension that housed demons that were bounded by physical concepts instead?
Excellent showmanship. I can think of at least two other adjacent dimensions in 40k, the necron flayed ones have access to that one that lets them fast travel to conflicts, and the one that lets weird crap out into the ghoul stars, neither seem to be linked with the imaterium. Psychic powers are the ability to tap into the warp, what happens if you tap into the other dimensions? Just a thought. Another well done segment.
There are some things that are not explained as warp related or some native alien empire, and it is something that is so unknown that records will be seen as pointless as they could not be understood. The Ruinous Powers could be understood if people can overcome their corruption, and alien empire can be learn so long as we remember that they are the enemy, but the Harrowing is not a problem that can be understood because it does not want to be, which means that no being can explain to us what it truly was.
40k hypothesis. The galaxy is vast, but insignificant against the cosmos, there are trillions of opportunities for a race to consume their home galaxy in totality, potentially similar to the tyranids, wnd come for ours. 40k has a balanced setting, the orks, and tyranids bother everyone, the eldar and humans seek a form of order, the necron are vs everyone, and chaos is for chaos. Who ever wins would end up with millions of planets we know of to grow on. Eventually there will be one, can u imagine the crusade to the andromeda galaxy of trillions of orks on millions of attack moons? How about a true united humanity with a living emperor? There are threats out there with billions of chances to be worse.
According to lovecraftian lore itself, plenty of Lovecraft beasties ARE interdimensional so, from a fiction narrative point of view, they could show up in ANY fictional universe and still be "canon" to a certain extent. From South Park to marvel to 40k.
I low-key hope they don't add yet another faction because after the leagues of votann they'll drop any priority on them after the first range is released
GW doesn't care about telling the story that could "end" this war. Personaly I do believe WH40K should come to an end, story-wise, but that doesn't mean the franchise should just end. It could continue with another story, a new conflict, like WH50K. Don't think it can just go on like that without drastic changes. The story needs to be pushed forward. New alliances need to be formed, the Emperor needs to be involved, even if several races get defeated or annihilated.
It's one eye closed to the past, one eye looking to the future. It's what the Emperor was striving for originally, but thanks to that slime Erebus and that moron Horus, it never happened
Let me melt your brain: The Rangdan are the Yu'Vath. The Yu'Vath were never even properly identified, they assimilated other species. They don't even know what they look like. The Blackstone Fortresses are Yu'Vath. They're sentient. The Necrons didn't create them, nor did the Eldar. The Blackstone Fortresses are sentient, warp-powered, and assimilate other beings.
The 1st Legion calls that last month. The Krave, the Rangda, whatever. It's a good thing the Lion had returned and is reuniting his legion. When the Dread Wing Arsenal is recovered, the tools will become available.
Well, it does make sense to some extent that psychological soul-bound energies would be in the warp. The material universe would be the place that has both the laws of physics and receives the influence of the energies within the warp, but it does leave an opening for a dimension where neither physics or warp energies manifest, like what could exist that doesn't abide by neither warp or laws of physics? Either that is they mix or they don't exist, what other factor could you have that could affect something as big as another universe within another dimension? A quick guess (at best) that I could give is that it would be a dimension where the combination of the warp and the material universe gave a result of zero, since the energies combined and countered each other neither of them existed nor exist anymore within that universe or their now fluid state is now controlled by the species that inhabited that dimension, rendering most warp sorcery useless and most of the usual arsenal within the material universe useless as well. Not an expert on that matter but that's my very weak guess.
This is how they reboot 40k after then end times. The universe doesn’t end chaos doesn’t win humanity doesn’t win we get a new setting where dimensions are ripped and reorganized and portals to invade them are both common and stable or at least so common you can logistically say it doesn’t matter. In this new setting perhaps the imperium is next to the realms of chaos and some new enemy the orks and their gods have a realm and they are next to the necron the elder and their gods next to the full tyranid fleet. All of them able to invade and retreat into and out of each others realms now not only separated by space but by overlapping realities. Of course this requires GW actually give us several new factions perhaps the men of iron, perhaps gods of unite (a mirror and counter to the chaos gods which are beings of life). The emperor could be walking around as a full god the four could be physically active the elder could have remade or freed their gods the catan could be reforged by the necron into full shards basically 40k is about stagnation and slowly degenerating into nothing this new setting call is 50k would be an age of every faction hitting their stride at the exact same time. Oh cool the emperor can make it so that all space marines are Custodes and all his Custodes are basically primarchs and the loyalist primarchs are as strong or stronger than their demon brothers and the guard now have volkite rifles standard issue? Well the elder gods are walking around the necron are fucking with time and the laws of reality the tyranids have hit a massive speed of evolution the orks are smart and the new factions are just as broken, no one is winning everyone could be in a state of constant innovation and advancement but it’s never enough to win. Hell this would even serve GWs evil purposes where each edition upgrades and changes the entire army kits for every single faction (you can run the old stuff it’s just massively nerfed each edition it is away from the current edition)
If I was a Guardsman, I would just say f*** it and eat a las sandwich for breakfast, as the enemy list of the Imperium is as long as the Commisars punishment list 😂

A Marvel style multiverse depicts a vast array of alternate realities very similar to our own for the most part usually with only comparatively minor differences, allowing for alternate versions of established characters and all the laziness that comes with that sort of storytelling. Alternate realities with radically different physical laws bleeding into our universe and changing some of the usual laws of physics in certain regions to allow that which should be impossible to become real (and to allow the nightmarishly alien denizens of that other place to move into our cosmos to cause terror and carnage) is a rather different proposition and has much more in common with Lovecraftian concepts of cosmic horror than it does with the MCU.

So no captions for you special case. You could just ask if you didn't know what it meant but you chose insult. So yea... no offense.
