The thing is we know Marvel can produce and write a great movie/series as we see in Loki. They need to actually hire people who read the comics and know the characters.
I've always thought no matter how talented the actor, they can't carry the movie on their talent alone. The writers and directors have to bring their A-game for it to succeed. It reminds me of why I never liked school projects. You get paired with 2 or 3 other students but, only 1 or 2 people in the group work their hearts out to do the project.

Yes you can tell the writers didn't just wing it. They knew the story they wanted to tell, then spread it out into 2 seasons. Whether they had HWR or Loki behind the curtain didn't matter, as long as the story was solid and mystery was there. Either way the big bad would have been a great reveal.
I love Erik's energy but I find it very very very hard to believe that the MCU's best days are ahead of it. Since NWH it feels like they've had no idea what they're doing.
Agree completely. Listen, I really liked Loki, Wandavision, GOT3, Dr Strange and sort of liked a few shows but this franchise peaked with the Infinity Wars and Endgame. Two of the most popular movies ever. To say otherwise makes you completely lose credibility.

I saw the movie yesterday and really liked it. Good acting, sympathetic characters (Kamalas geek-outs a adorable), great visuals (I absolutely recocommend the 3D experience) and an interesting story about guilt and revenge. My only small issue is that one or two scenes felt they end a little bit permaturely but that's it. Overall it is fun, and we can need that right now. (I will post this review on other channels that I subscribed to)
Bought 2 tickets yesterday - none of my kids (teens/20s) wanted to go - only 2 seats in the whole theater were reserved at that point. I do think Marvel has forgotten how to tell concurrently compelling big and small stories. KF must be feeling some heat...

This might be more a reflection on me than on Marvel now but with a lot of these movies and tv shows they put out after Endgame, as long as I have a good and fun time then I am happy even if the movie isn't the greatest piece of cinema ever made.

I really enjoyed The Marvels. But it could really step up if they added backstories from people in Hala and the other planets that were destroyed. It kinda lacked the sad emotion. It did succeed in the fun emotion though

I think they just bit off more than they thought. They had to pile on for Secret Wars to get you acquainted with everyone...but it was just too much. Looking forward to watching this soon!! I doubt many people care about immediate payoffs considering the entire mcu was built around sequel baiting. The stories just aren’t as intriguing or different enough to catch everyone’s attention like they use to.
It's always like that. The score gets a little up at the beginning and then goes down after the premiere. Loki had more than 90% at one point and ended with 82%. Same with Secret Invasion, Eternals, Quantumania, Thor and others.
In my opinion Disney/Marvel were just focusing on pushing more content out and getting the money. That pushed the writers, directors, vfx teams etc. But also finding right writers and directors is also important. And they should think about the MCU as a whole too. Some of them wanted their movies to be different. But it should stay in the Marvel Universe. Also expectations from fans have played a factor. I think some fans feels too entitled that they just jump on any small reasons to go against the movies. Anyway we now know that Marvel themselves know about their mistakes, we can hope that the next projects will be better that last few movies.
And also an important factor Feigie used to oversee the projects and approve what should and shouldn’t be done. He hasn’t done that since endgame i believe, I really hope he does again soon I do think Marvel realizes that they need to step it up and they know how the fans feel I do have hope that they will pick back up based on what I saw with Loki
I went in with a low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. Marvels is a lot of fun. Audience reaction was great with a lot of laughs. Even my wife loved and she hasn’t watched a single D+ Marvel series.

Which to me implies they have not seen it, which if that is the case then their opinions really hold no merit, as they have nothing to base their views on other than their pent up hatred of past terrible MCU films. I admit, I myself almost didn't watch it because I really had begun falling out of interest. Then Loki season 2 came around and I thought I'd give it a chance, and it pleasantly surprised me aswell. I’ll watch it when it streams on D+. Never thought the MCU hinged on this movie in the slightest. Now the next Avengers movies, Secret Wars or Kang Dynasty, those have more weight to them. But there’s still a lot of unexplored Marvel out there and I think when they bring Dr Doom, Galactus, the Silver Surfer in etc they’ll turn it around. I hope. It’ll never be what we had, but most of the time we fall in love with our first win and the rest can be great, but they’ll never be like the first.

I have to say I was also very mixed on the film but I still had more fun than I had frustrations with whatever criticisms I had with it. It was definitely not as bad as some critics were calling it. I totally thought this was better than Quantumania and Love and Thunder both of which were supposed to be funny entries of the franchise.
I usually always buy IMAX tickets for every Marvel movie but this is the first time I just buy a normal digital ticket for it. I don’t think it’s worth seeing it in IMAX.

honestly, I've seen The Marvels yesterday in Taiwan Asia. I feel it's not really bad as most people think that not worth giving a chance in theater. I still feel excited about The Marvels because there're big surprises for X-men "Beast"、Hawk's daughter and Valkyrja inside. Most funny thing is lots cat were born from Goose. The Marvels is a great movie. I had a lot of fun watching it. My Dad enjoyed it quite a bit as well. I would put it in my top 10 honestly. One of the most fun Marvel movies in a while that's for sure. I'm excited to see it again.

As much as I couldn’t follow Quantumania’s plot or drama, I have to admit that there were fun moments. It just felt like Marvel couldn’t figure out how to balance the comedy with the drama, and the troubled production definitely made the vision harder to maintain. It may not be a good film, but it’s kinda fun if you open yourself to it. I agree that some are unfairly dragging the movie though the mud; calling something a complete failure closes yourself off from the positive things it offers
Quantumania bad review actually makes me enjoy the movie more because i was expecting really bad movie but it is just not. same like that movie everyone clone about and have 4 stars (i think skyleap?). I feel like bad review really turn down my expectation and boost my enjoyement more, instead of stellar review but the movie turn out mediocre.
NR views are always the same though they like to pick holes in everything. I watch the reviews but I don't judge the movies until I see them myself. I have high hopes for this as Captain Marvel has always been a favourite
Endgame set the bar to high. Independent characters films will never be as great but it doesn't mean it's not good. I love anything marvel comes out with. Remember it's all part of a bigger story. All part of the comic.

That's probably the result of the director being adamant about making it a shorter film. Could have taken more time on those moments.

That pushed the writers, directors, vfx teams etc. But also finding right writers and directors is also important. And they should think about the MCU as a whole too. Some of them wanted their movies to be different. But it should stay in the Marvel Universe. Also expectations from fans have played a factor. I think some fans feels too entitled that they just jump on any small reasons to go against the movies. Anyway we now know that Marvel themselves know about their mistakes, we can hope that the next projects will be better that last few movies.

I admit, I myself almost didn't watch it because I really had begun falling out of interest. Then Loki season 2 came around and I thought I'd give it a chance, and it pleasantly surprised me aswell. I’ll watch it when it streams on D+. Never thought the MCU hinged on this movie in the slightest. Now the next Avengers movies, Secret Wars or Kang Dynasty, those have more weight to them. But there’s still a lot of unexplored Marvel out there and I think when they bring Dr Doom, Galactus, the Silver Surfer in etc they’ll turn it around. I hope. It’ll never be what we had, but most of the time we fall in love with our first win and the rest can be great, but they’ll never be like the first.

I like how people say they enjoyed the film and how good it was plus how “fun” it is but it’s the biggest marvel flop to be honest the movie was way to “wacky” and the movie didn’t even have a good plot the 3 main actress were good but that’s it this video sounds like it was made just to defend the film and doesn’t really criticize it being honest I would say more but I know people are going to wait to watch it on Disney plus which might be sooner than later
I have to say I was also very mixed on the film but I still had more fun than I had frustrations with whatever criticisms I had with it. It was definitely not as bad as some critics were calling it. I totally thought this was better than Quantumania and Love and Thunder both of which were supposed to be funny entries of the franchise.
Just got tickets for IMAX 3D... it will be a fun ride to see the Marvels teaming up, all the surprises and cameos. So pumped.

The Marvels is a great movie. I had a lot of fun watching it. My Dad enjoyed it quite a bit as well. I would put it in my top 10 honestly. One of the most fun Marvel movies in a while that's for sure. I'm excited to see it again.

Well you guys said Quantumania was a fun movie (if not polarizing) and I watched it and liked it. So I have high hopes for this movie after seeing the trailers. Too bad there's gonna be a media war to try to sully this movie's name, whether or not it lives up to expectations...
As much as I couldn’t follow Quantumania’s plot or drama, I have to admit that there were fun moments. It just felt like Marvel couldn’t figure out how to balance the comedy with the drama, and the troubled production definitely made the vision harder to maintain. It may not be a good film, but it’s kinda fun if you open yourself to it. I agree that some are unfairly dragging the movie though the mud; calling something a complete failure closes yourself off from the positive things it offers

Quantumania bad review actually makes me enjoy the movie more because i was expecting really bad movie but it is just not. same like that movie everyone clone about and have 4 stars (i think skyleap?).
