My daughter didn’t love the idea of being called “grown” at 18 or 21. Thankfully, she took in a talk we had about delaying “adulting” as long as possible. At 22, she still does not put her adult-ness forward as a college senior. I’m glad she has an understanding of herself in the world and that she’s not forcing anything due to a number.

Felt literally the same exact way when i turned 21 & when i turn 22 seven months ago, i was dredding it, I'm fine now tho but it's still ruff, the reality & humanity is bloody mortifying & the speed of time pisses me off.

I wish this lovely young lady all the best, I pray that Hollywood would not mess with her and that she stays humble. Also, I pray that she does not become hyper sexualised. Her parents did a great job. Marsai can take note from Zendaya and stay close to God. Zendaya stays classy, chic and unproblematic.

I have always thought she dressed much older, even when she was about fifteen. Hollywood grows them up fast.
No you just dressed down as a teenager. Looking beautiful and wearing makeup is fèminine. Every other culture allows their daughters to be strong in their femininity. Her outfits are classy, instead of posting pássive aggressive comments why don’t you find a style that you like to wear?

Afra American ladies need to teach their daughters and sisters that being attractive and taking care of yourself is a wonderful thing. I mean after all our looks are our currency and attracts masculine men that want to protect and provide but it really should be about you feeling the best version of yourself. Makeup enhances your natural beauty. Even Africán women in nomad tribes from thousands of years ago wear their jewelry in their hair to stir away broke men that have nothing to offer.
My niece is 5 and allowed to play in makeup. Something I wasn’t allowed to because older mâsculine women were in secret competition with me because they didn’t wear any. You can be the change.🙌
