    Please continue this masterclass series, this is exactly what I've been looking for for years because often people (including native chinese speakers) will say that these grammar points have uses that are completely unrelated and don't have a root meaning like you said
    I like how you bring them all together to show how they're all connected, really helps us understand what the character itself represents

    不过。i feel that it directly has the equivalent meaning of...
    "Not to mention"....
    Or
    "Isitoshe " in swahili.....for the most part....
    But knowing the literal meaning of the two characters helps alot so as to know where they fit better

    I am currently taking Mandatin Blueprint and have been at it for about 3 months. Currently on level 14 and am actually amazed at how much I have learned and retained. I am wondering what is the fastest someone taking MB has reached conversational fluency? At my current rate I am thinking maybe in about a year???

    It’s interesting how you can say 我吃过这家餐厅 but not 我吃过“在”这家餐厅(a very common mistake),as the correct word order is 我在这家餐厅吃过。The word order in Chinese requires the prepositional phrase 在这家餐厅 to come before the verb 吃过, while without using the preposition 在,it is perfectly fine to put the location 这家餐厅after the verb 吃过。

    过分can be compared to 本分. The latter means “duty” or an expected or required behaviour, and the former means exceeding what should be done or to have crossed the line.

    Question gentlemen: Im going to be learning chinese 5 days a week 1 hour each day from a tutor. I also will do pimsleur app in mandarin for an hour a day 7 days a week. Would the blueprint be something that can help me additionally and if so how? Since I already will have a chinese tutor. Is there any deals for the holidays coming as well.

    • @MandarinBlueprint
      @MandarinBlueprint  2 месяца назад

      Hey Fernando, It's fantastic that you're already learning Chinese with a tutor and using the Pimsleur app-great dedication! The Blueprint could definitely complement your learning. It focuses on teaching you to read, write, and understand characters through a unique method that simplifies character learning, grammar, and sentence structure. Plus, it’ll help reinforce what you're doing with your tutor by giving you a solid foundation in both listening and reading comprehension.
      As for holiday deals, we don’t have any specifics yet, but keep an eye out, there might be something special coming up!

      I also wish to “get a taste of the experience” (过过-verb phrase) of “the life” (生活) that 过儿 (proper noun; a familiar name of 杨过 from the fiction 神雕侠侣) “has experienced/lived” (过verb过past participle)

    过失,过错,有过,无过
