It's my number one ball currently. Got it drilled yesterday (so fresh out of the box) and throw three full games with it. I managed to shoot a 300 game (my very first 300 (though unsanctioned)) within the second full game with the ball. I LOVE IT AND THE SMELL!!
Are you still using this ball? Is it still good to use or has better pieces come out that are symmetrical pearls? How is it compared to that Lightning Blackout ?
Another great video Charles. Do you think it would be worth it to have the VEB with my Journey in the same bag as a 1-2 punch? Been contemplating this one vs the zig zag you mentioned to me previously. Thanks again brother!
I throw this ball and having issues with it breaking early, any suggestions? I've move as far left as I can and with past elbow injuries I can't get a lot of speed or can you suggest a better ball for slower speed high revs? Thanks in advance
This ball definitely needs some oil and speed. It can run into angle issues because how strong it is. Slower speeds this wouldn’t be my suggestion. I would lean towards smoother more predictable balls hustle RIP would be good IQ tour solid. Hammer Ocean Vibe, hammer raw hybrid. I think would give you a lot of versatility.
Was thinking summit pearl attention star and ion pro for my new arsenal. Dont bowl on anything to heavy or sport patterns so not sure if i need anything to aggressive unless I need it.
The reason I say it’s very early is because the summit and attention star might see some overlap. In house shot situations. If you’re using it on sports shots you might see the difference more.
Charles, i know folks like seeing the balls hook out the window, but have you tried drilling them with the pin closer to your ring finger to try and get more control? It looks like these balls are dictating where you throw instead of the other way around.
When I use my full rev rate, my rev rate dictates where I stand. I can play a more speed dominant game, and play a little straighter. And typically speaking that is what I want to do in competition.
Yo can do like a bowling terminology video. I been watching you and others for a while now and sometimes I just don't understand the terms and how to actually apply them when I'm in league. Keep up the good work!
Strong = A ball that reads early. Generally the STRONGER balls read early and have a smooth banana shape hook. Weak = A ball that reads late. Generally the WEAKER balls slide thru the oil longer and hook late with a hockey stick shape hook. Over - Under = How much miss room or forgiveness a ball has. Asym = Asymmetrical core The Asymmetrical core is slightly off balance which creates more flare. Symmetric = Symmetric core The Symmetric core is perfectly balanced left to right and creates less flare. Flare = How much the ball wobbles during the hook and roll phases. Skid Phase = When you throw the ball the first phase is the SKID phase where the ball slides thru the oil. Hook Phase = After the skid phase the ball will flip into the HOOK PHASE which is when the ball changes direction. Roll Phase = After the hook phase the ball will lose energy and start to roll forward. Continuous = A longer hook phase. Transition = TRANSITION describes the way the oil moves around the lane front to back as more shots are thrown. Plastic Ball = A hard PLASTIC non porous surface that does not absorb any oil from the lane. Urethane = A hard Urethane surface that absorbs little to no oil from the lane. Reactive Rosin = A porous surface that absorbs some oil from the lane. Because PLASTIC and URETHANE balls do not absorb oil from the lane they will push more oil down the lane which causes TRANSITION. Core = A solid piece that is located in the center of the ball. Cover = The exterior surface of the bowling ball that touches the lane. Surface = Adding SURFACE means having more surface area on the cover of the ball which adds traction thus the more SURFACE the stronger the reaction. Hope this helps. Happy New Year brother ✌ 🍻
@@TheHype-Bowling honestly I don't know until I hear it. I see the guy below explained a couple things giving me trouble. Because I hear the words strong and weak and my brain just thinks something else. I guess, I'm a part of the audience that is an active bowling but in the words of DJ Envy "explain what you mean when you say..." I've heard phrases like "up the back", sometimes you feet positioning numbers are confusing to me as well. And it's not a you thing, a lot of the channel don't explain what they're saying and what I've realized is most of y'all work in pro shops but I was guess your audience doesn't. But I think if you did one video where you explain a lot of the phrases you say then, new people can just reference that video. I haven't seen many good videos that go over bowling terms. TLDR - I know how to bowl but don't know the terms so I get lost in what you're saying.
7 strikes . I’m still contemplating between grabbing this beauty or the absolute power, but we all know there’s atleast 10 more balls that are lined up to make us swipe away lol
Videos are great and have been for a long time. I have been watching for probably close to a year. As a long time viewer, I'd have to suggest to not continue to throw the balls in the "outside" zone when they clearly will never work there. I'd rather see you test the limits of moving further left than you typically do just to see when a ball hits a limit for your style. I know some people like seeing straighter angles, but in my eyes, it's a waste of 7 minutes of the videos. Thanks for the hard work of making these videos!
Why? Most people that bowl dont have a ton of hand or hook. They are league bowlers that bowl relatively straight. They usually never get past 15 or 20 all year with strong balls and thats ok. Reviews have to show that zone or the majority of people wont have an idea of what the ball will do.
@@stompingpeak2043 You literally just answered your own question. If the lower rev/speed people need advice, watching Charles continuously throw the ball out there will not be able to convince them that the ball will be great for them. There's plenty of other reviews that will suit that style much better. As I said, I know some people might like seeing that zone be attempted, but its irrelevant after seeing the ball suck for multiple shots in a row
You have to line it up. If it’s tight. It maybe possible that that jopo bit needs to run back through the hole. It was designed to have a little room to let the ball swell and compress with out making the thumb insert tight.

@@TheHype-Bowling Thank you! 🥹😄
Favorite ball of the year Virtual Energy Blackout. 👍
It continues to be such a beast
Summit is my favorite ball this year, looks good, strikes good, smells good too! 😊
When you use the envy tour, what surface do you like to keep it at? Do you bounce between different surfaces on it?
2k is the what I use for house shots, 1k when I’m on anything harder.
In your opinion which is better for "medium to low oil" lanes, this ball or the iQ Ruby Pearl? Thanks
How would you compare this to the Sublime?
7 strikes that summit peak hits hard when you get it off your hand correctly. Nice!!!
7 strikes. And you have the only good quality channel who compares all the brands love it keep it up.
Are you still using this ball? Is it still good to use or has better pieces come out that are symmetrical pearls? How is it compared to that Lightning Blackout ?
7 strikes! This ball looks good. I like my Summit so I may give this one a try.
7 strikes another great video Charles
Diggin that shirt! When do I find it?

Summit peak peak and attention star I wouldn’t get both. Summit peak is very early. I would go sublime, or lightening black out.
@TheHype-Bowling lightning blackout was also what I was thinking and early isn't bad for me since I'm speed dominate
The reason I say it’s very early is because the summit and attention star might see some overlap. In house shot situations. If you’re using it on sports shots you might see the difference more.
@TheHype-Bowling o ok maybe I'll go lightning
7 strikes. Great video, really debating about getting the peak
The Peak! Hype knows what we want! 💪🏾 when is the next match?
Journey is my favorite but I definitely want to throw the sublime.
7 strikes. Enjoy your reviews on the upcoming bowling balls. Keep bringing "The Hype" in 2024'
Saw you at league yesterday 🙌🏾
✊🏾
sublime is a hybrid thou
Seams like you getting arround the ball more with the oeak
Favorite 2023 ball was the absolute
The Summit is my favorite, but it's also my only storm ball.
what mic do you use to record? and do you use your phone or dslr camera
I use Dji wireless mic.
Charles, Did you just punch in😂😂 @1503...new outfit new lanes😂😂 my dawg you pretty good!!

Name some of the terms you are referring to please? And that is something we can definitely work on.
Asym = Asymmetrical core
The Asymmetrical core is slightly off balance which creates more flare.
Symmetric = Symmetric core
The Symmetric core is perfectly balanced left to right and creates less flare.

7 strikes. Makes me really want this ball 😮
What grit did u use to break the cover on the journey
2k was the surface. Just by hand to knock off the polish.
I counted seven strikes-opening turkey, 10-pin, double, 10-pin again, another double, 4-pin.
7 strikes . I’m still contemplating between grabbing this beauty or the absolute power, but we all know there’s atleast 10 more balls that are lined up to make us swipe away lol
The Summit Peak has colors similar to the original Virtual Energy.
Bar open?
16:33 nice shot.

Baught one two days ago. This ball is much too powerful if you can't throw cross lane.
It’s 7 strikes. Looks strong especially inside of 8 board.
7 strikes .. thank u for the new shammy 😂
Im still throwing the phase 3 😁
Why did you break the cover stock?
Wanted a more consistent read of the lane once I moved inside closer to the oil.
7 Strikes. Not a SPI fan but they look good when you throw them.
Seven strikes 🙏🏾
I say 7 strikes and at least 1 ringing 10 pin. Maybe a flat 10 but more likely a ring 10 with the strength of that ball!
Put a 2000 pad on the journey .. trust me. We have a similar layout. 15 games with that ball, averaging 246
Yeah that’s exactly what I’ve done I really like this ball.
@@TheHype-Bowling it’s definitely 1st out of my bag right now. And I never throw anything shiny .. especially on fresh lol
7 strikes is what I seen
7 strikes 💪🏾
Fire physixs love that ball made me some money.
7 strikes
How would the peak compare to the revenant?
Much stronger ball overall.
@TheHype-Bowling i know it's an asymm but what about the dna or absolute power? Been a long time since I bowled and trying to rebuild my bag
7X. Hate those 10 pins… I usually throw a back up ball
Could you do a Comparison Sublime vs Hazmat?
I did, go check the out the channel.
@@TheHype-Bowling how didn't I see it. I watch all your stuff, I'll go check it out.
What are the ball weights?
15lbs
Like to see the new Pyramid Fortress Solid cool looking ball kind a like your shirt.
7 strikes!
8 strikes for the Shammy
DNA was my favorite.
Let me get a shammy for that catch 🎉🎉
Huge missed opportunity imo, if they used REX pearl or even r2s pearl I bet this ball would’ve been so much more popular
7 strikes and 2 , 10s and 1 ,4 pin
Why the shoe change????
Summit peak vs sublime comparison 👀
7 strikes with some messengers that didn't connect lol
I don’t see how you twist your jopo thumb in without the tool. Damn near broke my thumb trying to do that 😂

As a two hander I need this in my bag, really bad
the summit ?
7 strikes 😊
7 strikes with the summit peak
7 strikes and one wardrobe change in the video...lol!!!🤣🤣

7 strikes and it looks like the ten pin is not your friend that will change in 2024 as always be blessed today and every day
8 strikes 🎳🎳✌️✌️✌️
Summit Peak VS VEBO?
7 strike with the summit
Sublime is a hybrid.
I've counted 7 strikes
Peak vs VEBO?
Tnt infused is a hybrid
Yes I understand but most people will still look to throw this ball in the same part of transition as you would with the summit peak and Journey.
7 strikes from what i could count
