after the first battle of Belgium, zeppelins were rarely used in ww1 and it was indeed quite easy to destroy as effective anti-aircraft was developed as early as 1915, and zeppelins were still quite easy to take down, in Belgium, which was the battle that used the most zeppelins, they killed around 11 people, also the zeppelin would probably be unable to do much harm from 30f off the ground, their guns have range too, so even if the artillery was unable to target them, the zeppelins would also have to longer themselves into range to actually do any damage, of course they most likely carried bombs, but zeppelins have to be quite light and I could not imagine them carrying lots of significant bombs
They categorically didn't and could not, that would require pressurisation which wasn't a thing until the mid 1930s, an oxygen supply, more powerful engines to compensate for the lower air speed over the wings(due to thin air), not to mention you'd freeze to death on minutes because its in the minus -40C's up there.
