Great video.. Under current rules p/f system (that is after Jan 2022 ) how many attempts of usmle step 1 an IMG can take? How does this effect during match?
@@MalkeAsaad but I heard about a doctor from India , where he completed a research during his residency in India & then matched into the fellowship in US on the basis of that research ?

Dr Malke is right.... Doing research in USA is better than doing research in home country... Doing research in home country is better than doing no research
Would you recommend doing basic science research in labs or clinical research? Especially if someone is outside the US and looking for visa sponsuring.
Dr Assad, I recently got into a research position (Sub PI) at a community psychiatry center. The Supervising Doctor is double board certified in Neuro & Psychiatry, but research is Psychiatry specific. I'm interested in pursuing only Neurology. Will this hamper my future application? Or will programs accept, as they are related fields.
hello dr.asaad i have a simple question for you does an IMS who passed usmle 1 & 2 is a certified doctor in us and if so can he work as a general doctor in a private clinic or so.. or does he have to pass in a residency program ? thank you in advance
Hello Dr, I am interested in a clinical research job. I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. If I book a one on one session with you, would you be able to help me connect to the right people to get the research position.
Our consultation sessions give you answers to all your questions about research and how to approach different physicians but we do NOT provide connections to anyone.

Dr.Asaad, for IMG who graduated many years ago, do you recommend doing step 1 before step 2? Now that step 1 is a pass/fail, i'm not sure which exam to tackle first.

hey doc! @MalkeAsaad , onw question - is it necessary to do research in US or we can do our research from our own medical school in our country ?
If you are looking to match in residency in the US, it is better to do research in the US

I mean research and electives simultaneously?

It varies based on your career goals
Does doing USMLE raise my chance to have research

Research should preferably be in the field you are applying to
Nice video ☺️👍.
Sir, is research work mandatory for usmle exams and to become a doctor in USA??
It is recommended especially for certain specialties and programs.

You need to do a few years of clinical training in the US before you can be a private doctor.

It depends on the tasks you do during that position.
Thank you so much for your time.
Does age matter in residency matching
Age is not the main factor. What you have done during these years is what matter most!
