Bought a 2023 BTS edition back in March. Absolutely love it! As Ben said, incredible value. Love the seats! Very unique. I got a great deal - bought this in the mid 50k range! I also like that it is built in limited numbers. This truck is well equipped.
I have really enjoyed my BTS. I bought the 2020 Patriot Blue in October of that year (right as the 2021 rams were coming out) for an MSRP of $53k but marked down to around $46k (probably due to the Covid nonsense), with 7 miles on it.
The only changes I made have been airbags for towing my rv, a 2 in Daystar leveling kit (installed with my brother in law), a spray in bed liner, a toneau cover, and my second set of replacement tires. My first new set were General Grabber ATX 32 inch 275/55/R20 - great tires, especially for winter. I just had to recently replace those (I didn’t rotate enough) and bought KO2s 33 inch tires at 275/60/R20 - more aggressive than the General. No issues at all with the 33’s except not as smooth and balanced as the general, but i like the look and size of the KO2s.
Overall, if you exclude the airbags and a second set off tires, I put in an extra $2500 for level kit, spray in bed liner, and 33 inch KO2s, to get my truck close to a rebel (excluding the bilstein shocks vs off road tuned shocks) while spending under $50k. $50k if you include the other set of tires and the airbags. Not bad..now if i could just take off some of the miles I have accumulated in 4 years lol
I have a 2020 Built to Serve in Patriot Blue. It's been a great truck overall. Very comfortable, drives great and the Hemi has plenty of power and sounds great.
I also just bought a 20' BTS in patriot blue with only 23k miles, CPO, multi-function tailgate, 3.92 axel, 33 gal. tank, the bed rails with removable attachments, and a hard tonneau cover for 46k OTD. I absolutely love this truck, looks great and drives fantastic.
Just brought mine home today!! Its the best bang for your buck especially with them discontinuing of the 5.7 hemi. Limited numbers and colors I'm hoping will add to the value when the hemi goes away. Traded in a 2020 lonestar off road package and basically got the same truck but with subtle rebel touches.. Yes its a poor mans rebel dont be a hater lol.
I bought a 24 ram 1500 built to serve this prior week. I love the truck.
Me too. I absolutely love it.
Price?

I literally traded my 21 Silverado 1500 z71 for a brand new BTS 2024 5.7 hemi first owner . Truck was 60k but I rolled over a bit of -equity that was the most dumbest financial decision I’ve made lol. that’s where it bit me in the ass but over all the truck is totally worth it and a beauty ❤
Great little half ton get about. Buy one now as the Hemi is going away. Looks like a long term, no worries keeper.
First Ram package I really like, especially the naturally aspirated V8
All 1500 and 2500 have the hemi (naturally aspirated) option. He didn't even mention the etorque on this one.
Best value Ram 1500 for sure! A lot of nice and useable features paired with limited production numbers and paint colors.. In the Ram 1500 lineup, these are easily the Best value offered. I love mine! 👍
I just got a 2024 bts in night edge blue, 5.7 hemi. Paid $51,900. Not a killer deal, but I didn’t feel screwed either. Coming from a 2018 Ram 1500 sport with full leather seats and I can honestly say the vinyl/cloth combo of the bts is just as, if not more comfortable. I absolutely hate chrome on trucks, so the exterior accents fit the bill for me.
In 2024, Ram will offer two colors, which are Night Edge Blue and Silver Billet and will have more standard options then previous years, such as the 12 inch display and the sprayed in bed liner, to name a few.
Great review. I really like Ram esp the BTS edition. I agree it’s got great packaging. Unfortunately, as a long term purchaser I’m really concerned with durability and reliability.
The RAM people had the insight to see the potential of this vehicle.
Just add barn door tailgate and toolbox with and hard tonneau cover. Nice complete package
Sad this is the last year for the hemi. I'm not a ram guy but love there seats
2024 Ram 1500 Big Horn Lone Star 5.7L V8 Hemi eTorque Built to Serve U.S. Police Special Edition Crew Cab 4X4!
Only thing that sucks is my dads lease on his bighorn back country’s coming to a end and he wants to get into a built to serve edition but cant because the lease prices are outrageous now and you can’t get anywhere decent without a huge down payment.
Can your Dad buy the truck he’s in now? What’s the residual? Might be better off staying in it.
@@Dandre01 he could. He’d have to look that up but that would probably be a better choice since he likes the truck
You shouldn't need a down payment if he goes from one lease to the bts as a lease. Or am I off on that?
@@JRsVsO Ram advertised $379 a month for 39 months with $4,035 down but why would you put that much down on a lease.
@@RamandChevyOwnerhe can use the equity on his current lease and put it towards the BTS model
I saw one here in the Hydro Blue it was beautiful truck. And for 66,000 its a good price seeing it also cost that much in Canada so its cheaper here.
Built to serve and backcountry packages are the best values, both are tough to find!
Exactly I had to get the night package bighorn. No built to serve we’re available…
Last year of the hemi v8 so enjoy while it last!☹
Only the Laramie comes with the wireless phone charging pad.
Are the lifters going to go at 100,000 ?
Was the Gas Gauge working! ?
wish i could get this without the hybrid
The hybrid system is actually pretty nice on the Ram trucks. It essentially gives you more power and cures the infamous Hemi tick.
Not sure i understand this Built to Serve trim. Is this one of those "thank me for my service" deals?
are Ram trucks reliable??
I bought my night edition in July zero issues. V8 hemi with etorgue has been good. Transmission is known for reliability. I bought mine 15% below msrp.
Reasonable priced? No disrespect, but your average Joe isn't affording that.
$63k for a bighorn with a couple laramie upgrades? Nope. Thats insane. I guess im spoiled as i have a 21' Laramie thats got everything minus the hud.
Yea, but do you have the full off road package? The BTS is a little more then just a Bighorn. It's more Rebel than anything else and 10k less than your Laramie.
Shave it all off Go for the clean look
At least it has a V8
23 gallon tank on Hemi…. Come on Ram
A $62k truck is now considered a great value? We are doomed. 🤦♂️
I bought a 2023 last March for $46,500 with all available rebates, with the HEMI eTorque . Every month RAM changes their rebates package, which could be better or worse on the price.
Understandably, this type of truck with these options 6 years ago was 30-35 thousand dollars!
Can’t find any black around
👎🏻
Analog gauges for a 2024 model ? hard pass for that amount.
