Wes Brown, who played centre half and then later on at right back, was rock hard, in a quiet, under the radar kind of way. Used to make some crunching tackles. Proved his immense toughness by overcoming all those serious injuries, including knee cruciates. Great player, professional, versatile and consistent.
Jaap Stam, I have the STAM 6 black sharp viewcam shirt from about 1999 ..he really closed gates at the back as my beloved Man United won the treble in 99
Kevin Moran in that 83 fa cup semi vs arsenal at Villa Park. Blood streaming down his head and he kept on playing until he was stretchered off. It was also a Paul McGrath who replaced him in this game. Im pretty sure Moran was forced to wear shin pads as well.
@MUFCFromADistance it's why I typed THE in all caps..because if u took either of those 2 out theresca large drop off..whereas if u took fantastic players like Keane or Giggs out then at least u had Butt n Blomqvist to fill in
Stam is the man.
Making this video gave me a chance to watch a lot of footage of Jaap Stam and he was even better than I remembered 😁👍
@@MUFCFromADistance Yeah he had everything you need in a defender
Nemanja Vidic without doubt the greatest CD to grace the Premier League. Jaap Stam and Vida would have been cold as fuck as a pairing
God yeah, can you imagine it 😁

I loved Wes Brown. Him putting people into the stands was a highlight back in the day
@@MUFCFromADistance 😂👍 Top drawer, mate. Great memories...
@@chriscolton6329 Thanks very much, glad you liked it 👍
@MUFCFromADistance 👍👍
Vidic and stamm
I love vidic but if I had to pick one I’d go Stam. Best I’ve seen

@ fantastic player Jaap. If you haven’t watched it yet the episode if the overlap with him as a guest is well worth a watch
Eyes on him. He a lot to prove.

Cracking player was Kevin. You could see why he was very good at Gaelic football too. Hard as nails
Great video
Thanks Ruby, glad you liked it. Thanks for the comments 👍
Of course Vidic 💪💪💪💪
As good as we all knew he was I think we still didn’t realise how good we had it with him
Milan said thank you when they let Stam go, they got a defense of Maldini, Stam, Nesta and Cafu...now thats a defense.
Isn’t it just. That would have been a joy to watch
Remember Big Jim getting sent off for flattening Malcolm Mcdonald 😃😃
That would have been worth watching. There was something unlikeable about McDonald 😁
@@MUFCFromADistance Yes, nutted him right by the halfway line from what I remember. Took a lot to get sent off back then 😂😂
Schmeichel and Stam were THE most important players in the treble winning team..i said what i said...
I wouldn’t disagree with that…..but would add a few others too 😁

Paul McGrath.

FEARSOME??? it's a non contact sport lmao
Wasn’t always the way though
