Cory here! Nice to meet ya and glad to see they finally cut on after they cut off!! We went on the upper side and found a couple spots and a few cool caves!
The drum in the caney are so clean and healthy looking....they feel like smallmouth at first...make me think I have a trophy SM....alas no...just a drum.....thanks for the vid!!
Relatively new to the area so looking for info! I’ve waded and fished for trout below the dam there but I pay attention to the generation schedules and when I hear the warning, I get out of there. Been wanting to launch my yak and fish near the dam but what’s the procedure when they are generating? For this day, did you get out, wait in the parking lot, then relaunch? Thanks in advance for the info!
@@sounddesigner3007 nah... The safest course of action is to paddle over to the boat ramp to make sure they're only going to discharge generating water and not open gates. Once the generator starts you're safe to fish to the left of the generating water. That area is known as the "pond" and doesn't experience any current.
Great fishing trip...thanks for sharing!!

Hey, that was the sturgeon I was trying to catch.
He's still there 😂
I have never caught sturgeon either and it was on a worm 6:38 idk if you land it
Nice that is a crazy fish prehistoric
hey better days, what are you using to stay in one spot ? an anchor or trolling motor ?
Anchor!!
8" crappie halfway through the whole vid!
Imagine being out there and hearing that horn and having no idea what it means 🤣😆 I'd be freaking out haha
Even though it was only on for 1 hour, a 69 year old gentleman downstream who was in a kayak hit a tree, flipped and drowned on this day 😥
R.I.P.
