    COOL (and adorable lol). Growing up, my dad would say lightning fertilized the plants but I couldn’t conceptualize how. 30 years later, I remembered him saying this, got curious, and found my answer! ❤ ⛈

      They're right about the reaction but still couldn't get the chemical names right. Lightning destroys nitrogen dioxide and creates nitrogen monoxide which is what the plants use because it's water soluble.
