How to Make A Shrink Pot | Carved Wooden Pot

Shrink pots have been used for holding dry goods for centuries. Long before modern manufacturing brought us Tupperware and other plastic containers, these wooden vessels where a part of every home. Shrink pots are made by hollowing out a log when it is still green. One end of the wooden tube is sealed with a dry wood plug. As the log dries, it shrinks around the dry wood base and forms a beautiful and functional container.
