Perhaps the EPL should stop hiring friends or people from the “right” backgrounds and hire competent professionals. This is the second time they have been told the rules that were passed were illegal. Clearly the owners don’t know much and neither does the EPL. Trying hiring professionals and pay them.
And fifa ETC
The greed of these clubs is staggering.
PL was fine while City were two divisions lower. If they get relegated or removed the league will still be fine. No one team is bigger than the division.
I agree with your overall point, but you can't compare sending City down the leagues now versus twenty years ago!!
It’s fine as long as Utd Liverpool or Arsenal are doing ok, the minute some other team challenges them they want to change the rules, they believe the world revolves around them, secret meetings with the head of the FA etc there’s your corruption
@@mypointoftoon maybe not in time wise, but I saw Leeds and Blackburn get relegated too. Teams who were champions not many years before. Man City wouldn't be missed, the revenue would right itself as any business model does. As for their fans, a massive amount are just glory supporters. They'll switch to whoever else is winning 🤷🏻
@@bobofett3966 Oh please. Arsenal haven't won a league in two decades. Liverpool have one in three. It's over a decade since Manure last won it. Stop acting like they are dominating the division.
@@Devypocalypseif city wernt cheating liverpool would of won 5 and arsenal would of already won 2 , you do realise saying this proves their point not yours??
No one/club with the wealth and legal power has challenged the leagues rules until now. The rules are to protect the sport but also we know there in place to entrench historically bigger sides but new rich owners want to buy a club and bring them up, for their own reasons. The rules stop that as well, unless they paid the big price to buy a historically bigger club.
It's the trickle down effects of having owners who've never experienced not getting their own way in their lives. The concept of "no, you're not allowed" is so entirely alien to them that their determination to have their own way regardless has permeated into the whole club's outlook.
Anyone remember what football was about 22 lads kicking some leather around a field. When it was simple I enjoyed it now just all about the money. The greed in the sport will kill the game.

There is no order , theres just successful clubs who have built their history and fanbase over decades of growth. Football shouldnt be a race to the bottom to sign an owner who wants to sugar coat their image.
@adammohamed.. doesn't matter. There is no right or wrong way. If Man City or any team have the finance to do it their way then let them do it.

It is necessary to subject the rules to means testing. Provided they are equitable for all, no PL club opposes the APT regulations. The introduction of exceptional rules for the benefit of other PL clubs is not permissible. If the introduction rule date occurs after the improvement, it is not possible to enforce regulations on a PL club. These can only be implemented subsequent to the date of introduction. The introduction of rules with the intent to bully and harass other PL clubs is prohibited. Enforce rules that are fair, transparent, and free of any loopholes.
City are basically says no the rule book has to be rewritten and the rules right now are null and void. Meaning there is no rules right now as we speak so everyone has about a week before the new rules coming into place with the emergency meeting that’s happening next week. Also city have said to the premier league if the rules are not lawful again because you are rushing them, we will take you to court again so take your time.
Ya they need to show their power and remove city from the league can’t have one club telling the league what to do
Nope. They said the rules should be written fairly and properly and that doesn't take less that 2 weeks like what happened

The over exaggeration on this is mind blowing. The premier league needs to employ people who know what they're doing and the clubs who are classed as financial advisors need to step away. Get people in who know how to write legal and fair financial rules.
Why don’t they set a salary cap? This entire thing is rubbish
Unlawful for a start. Premier League needs less ambiguity around their rules, that would be a good start.
@@reeceb4973well do like Major League Baseball in America and create a luxury tax. Major League Baseball's (MLB) luxury tax, also known as the Competitive Balance Tax (CBT), is a penalty that teams pay when they exceed a predetermined payroll threshold:
Purpose: The CBT is a way to regulate how much money teams can spend on their players, and to reduce anti-competitive behavior.
How it works: Teams are taxed on every dollar spent above the threshold, and the tax rate increases based on how many consecutive years they exceed the limit.
Thresholds: The 2024 CBT threshold is $237 million for player salaries and benefits.
Penalties: The penalties for exceeding the threshold are:
First year: 20% surcharge on all overages
Second year: 30% surcharge on all overages
Three or more consecutive years: 50% surcharge on all overages
Resetting the penalty: If a team dips below the threshold for a season, the penalty level is reset.
2023 season: The New York Mets paid a record $101 million in luxury tax for the 2023 season
Surcharges: Teams also pay surcharges for exceeding certain thresholds.
