Nobody believes me when I tell em we have fantastic trails in RVA. Thanks for shining a spotlight on our city Jeff! All the credit goes to RVAmore and JRPS for building and maintaining all this single track. We are truly blessed! PS - I still can’t cross that damn creek at forest hill park. Super sketchy! 🤦♂️ You truly shredded buttermilk too. Damn! 🤯. #goals.
I lived for 34 years in richmond, va and i never knew we had that many cool mountain biking trails. I rode down at pony pasture several times in the 90'a. But I never knew about the pocahontas state park mountain bike trails. I moved back to northeast Tennessee at Thanksgiving. We have lots of mountain biking parks in the tri cities (bristol/ kingsport and johnson city). There are several cool mtn bike parks in western nc at beech and sugar mountains ar the ski resorts. Also by asheville, nc. Down by knoxville and Townsend,tn there are a good 3 or 4 big mountain biking parks ( baker on Southside of knoxville, vee hollow in townsend and one on the Northside of knoxville).
Some excellent trails there. Will add them to my list for when we ride Virgina. Trying to MTB all 50 States with my wife. Thanks for the tour! Looks like the kids appreciated watching your old man abilities.
...at :47 seconds in. That's where I went over when a hiker stepped in front & my bar hooked the railing. Seemed like it took forever to hit the ground. Was off the bike for 4 months after that one!
Thanks for shining some light on the Richmond trails. I ride them multiple times a week and man you were shredding! I never even thought about gapping those couple spots on Buttermilk. I also still think about your tip from another video you did here about tech climbs where you’re not sure the best line... stay straight as possible and don’t get in too easy of a gear... solid advice which I have followed many times.
@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss There isn't all that much elevation, but they did a brilliant job making the most of it with those trails. Should have checked it out sooner.
Hey Jeff I think you're awesome love your videos.. any chance you could do a video on how not to hit your crank when you're going up steps like on a climb. I understand the rowing method and getting over but I always seem to hit my pedal on the Rock that I'm climbing up is there a fix to this. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has this problem and a video would be much appreciated. I hope you have a great summer

That's a great idea!
What kind of bike do you have??
So sick, my dream would be to have trails that good within a mile or two of my city. Weve got some stuff but its all unofficial 😆 and not very steep.
This stuff is awesome, you forget you're in city limits.
VAMTB for the win! Did a video on Poco and JRPS on my channel as well 🤘
Awesome!
“Definitely faster to run”
Only if you’re not Jeff lenosky
