It’s crazy that you were the creator that helped me lose a bunch of weight the first time and now I’ve gained twice as much weight and you popped up again and have created another motivational video to get me back in the groove of losing weight and keeping it off. Just goes to show we’re all humans just going through the same crap.
I love how you showed the process and not just you after u met ur goal and telling us how u did it. Seeing you going through this journey motivates me to continue my weight loss journey as well
My pro tips: - protein with every meal - especially your first meal a day. - walk everywhere you can - if you can’t read what’s on the label then don’t buy it - creating healthier versions of the unhealthy foods at home helps transitioning into eating less processed foods - implement small changes instead of changing all at once - give your body time to digest and heal itself naturally- fasting 18:6 is a good way to go - it will show you how unnecessary often we tend to eat out of boredom or habits - preparation is the key; there will be low days so be prepared to have meals pre cooked or to take with you for work -Never go hungry to the grocery store , they have scents in stores that are actually designed to make you more hungry - most important: DO THIS FOR YOURSELF!
big yes to everything (and thank you for writing this!) except for those store scents (at least in my country) - currently have a part-time in a supermarket, don't have time and appetite to eat breakfast and there don't get hungry at all, so i only ate at night until i got heartburn. now trying to change that, but it's not easy (and also paradoxically gained weight this way)
Love this. I lost 60 pounds too and still have more to go💝this is inspiring it’s definitely hard when you get back to it but it’s become sorta easier over time? 215 to 157 and I’m hoping 140🎉
Omg I started at 215 and now I’m 178 my goal is 145 by at least the end of the year :) I usually get discouraged around this weight like I did enough and I don’t keep going but this time I’m gonna keep going so fingers crossed 🎉
Thank you Megan! I was literally just starting to want to get back into shape and stop eating junk, and I thought of rewatching your old weight loss vids. What a great surprise seeing this one come up! Hopefully we can all get fitter and eat healthier and start feeling better together 💪❤️
You have always been my biggest inspirer on RUclips. Been watching and cheering you on for 5 years. Your positive attitude makes my days so much better and when I'm feeling down I think of you and feel better ❤
Perfect timing I literally just started working out again after 3 years of being a lazy bum. I'm shocked I haven't been sore. I'm almost 50 so taking 3 years off from working out is a big deal lol.
I needed this!!! I still haven't lost all my postpartum weight. ( my daughter is 5 months 1 week and 3 days old now ) and I just now it's going to be super hard at first... But I need to start doing something to feel like a human being again. This was perfect video for motivation. Thank you, Megan. You Are doing great btw. Proud of you!!! 🍀♥️
Hey girl!! Thank you for this video. I need all the motivation I can get. I feel like in the last five years I have lost momentum in taking care of myself (I’ve been trying to get my mental health on track but subsequently lost focus in moving my body) and I feel it now at 35. Like, I should not feel mediocre almost every day. I am sick of feeling this way and I know I can do something about it. Thank you for sharing your tips!
I love how honest and useful this video is 😊 My favourite RUclips workout fitness videos are Tim Senesis 30 day yoga challenges, they're quite difficult but I'll start feeling the difference in my body really quickly and start feeling mentally clearer from the meditative aspect of yoga. Also, if I've given in and bought chocolate or something I'll occasionally drop the junk food off in the food bank bin on my way out of the store. Then I've avoided a slip up and I've done a good deed and hopefully someone who needs that treat more than me can enjoy it 😊
I’m on the road to remission from cancer and finally got energy back. I have started walking small distances and have gone a little further each time. I’ve done yoga most. Even if it’s small it’s something! As long as I’m mobile I’m good.❤
So proud of you! ❤ Thanks for sharing the journey, not just the tips. Grow with Jo is very popular in US now, she does do fun workouts! Another RUclipsr I love is SusieJTodd. She makes me laugh so much!
I needed this! Thank you for this vlog. I Honestly hate working out but i want to start incorportaing small changes in my life to achieve a healthier lifestyle
You’re so right about the chips. I lost a lot of weight too five years ago. Now I eat well and if I want chips, I’ll go out and buy myself just a little bag. Because I don’t trust myself either keeping chips at home.
I've been on a weight-loss/fitness journey for about 2 months and working out is so difficult for me. I have psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia and it feels like every work out I do hurts so bad! I was pretty consistent for a while, then I fell while on a walk and stopped working out for the past month 😥. I really want to get back into it but I am still in search of a work out that doesn't hurt so much. Now I am dealing with pretty bad sciatica, right when I was about to start getting back in routine, so that is delaying my progress too! Thanks for sharing your journey Megan, that is how I found you and I've loved your videos ever since 🙂
PS- Chips have been my culprit for weight gain too, it sucks! I wish I had more discipline when it comes to chips but I don't so I just need to avoid them. Currently looking for a healthier substitute for sour cream and onion Lays if anyone has any suggestions!
I worked out a whole month at the gym and gained around a pound. Stopped working out and focused on my diet, and lost around 20 pounds in a couple of months. Losing weight has nothing to do with exercise. Exercise makes you hungrier. Having a busy lifestyle and daily activities enables people to be skinny without trying. Not only are you burning calories but you stop focusing on food, you’re not bored, less stressed, happier, and have less time to sit around and think about food. If you don’t have that lifestyle, your only option is intermittent fasting and reducing your calorie intake (less than your BMR).
Meg i love you! I totally understand your reasons for going plant based and i would never tell anyone how they should be eating but a lot of products marketed as plant based are estrogenic and incredibly unhealthy, especially for your hormones! I would look out for these things as youre trying to be healthier
Monika Fit is a great channel. Also, Yoga with Adrienne! I lost 60lbs previously and gained about half of it back now 😢… have to work on it again, and your video is definitely motivating 😊
I love the growwithjo channel❤ She’s so positive and cute, I can’t help but smile while working out. And her dance workouts are just so fun, I just did one today and my mood got instantly better 🥰
Some peoples bodies don't deal that well on plant based diets because they could be more sensitive to carbs. And the truth is plant based diets do come with extra carbs, which sadly and unfortunately are much easier to overeat compared to the other macros. If you look back at what you were eating when you were loosing weight or just maintaining your weight loss you were having quite a bit of protein from eggs, meat and fish. And protein is very satiating.
Yeah a planet based diet is literally the worst thing someone could do for their body. Meat is insanely important. So many bioavailable nutrients that keep you full and satiated so you won’t even be hungry while losing weight. Also it’s how humans have eaten since the beginning of time
So true. When I was plant-based, I gained so much weight despite eating far less calorically. My hair thinned out and my skin was a mess on top of it. As far as my ancestral diet goes, we eat quite a bit of meat and dairy. I’ve come to realize I’m probably just genetically more sensitive carbs and they just don’t agree with me, my body prefers animal products. Now I eat low carb (some days keto, some days paleo) and I lost the weight. I feel satiated, my hair came back in, no acne. People need to figure out what works for their body, no way of eating is universally perfect. Though, protein should always be the most important macro for everyone regardless of everything else.
ive been thinking about those dance workouts, been seeing wall lazy girl pilates looks up my alley 😅 enjoy your vids:) thank u for making this one very relatable
My favourtie exercise to do is step aerobic. I got a small stepper on amazon and I follow exercises from Kat Gates-Buettner on youtube, I love her basic step workouts they have really good dance music and she is such a sweet trainer. I also enjoy doing routines from the steel combat section (the older videos) from Steel Programs youtube channel, they do speak spanish but I know you understand it. I love these because they are so energetic and it puts me in such a good mood... You made me think of starting to workout again because I also stopped for so many months. I wish you energy and motivation to keep going on your health journey 😇
I used to play just dance a lot for like 40 minutes. It’s really fun and it doesn’t feel like working out. But now I can only do like 10 min 😮💨 I needed this video lmao
Yes, showing up can be the most difficult thing, making sure you show yourself gratitude for showing up is important. When I can’t exercise outdoors I do a home workout, madfit on RUclips is a good channel, low to medium intensity, also Daniela Suarez and monikaFit Another tip is get yourself some dandelion tea, helps with getting stuff moving and detoxing the bad stuff Also, to avoid the crisp , pick up some coleslaw (or something similar) to have as your side with burgers or sandwiches
ITS OKAY TO LET GO AND JUST PIG OUT AND ENJOY LIFE! CAUSE LIFES HARD AND FOOD IS COMFORTING SO ITS OKAY. JUST LOSE IT NOW IF YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE BUT DONT STRESS.
Thankful for this!! It can be so hard getting back on track! You may also like move with Nicole beginner Pilates on here! Love ya girl thanks for posting!! 🤍
yep... imma in it to win it!! Pilates club twice a week, reformer has been my go-to wellness investment, mind set adjustment is critical & all yr tips, spot on. Ty
I also really crave crisps but have moved to sour cream and onion rice cakes. Are they as good? no but they are good and it means I eat less of them. Other good options for some crunch are popcorn or carrots.
Great tips! I also lost 60 lb a few years ago & I’ve gained some of it back. Can definitely relate to feeling uncomfortable & clothes feeling tight :/ I’m in the process of moving but I have my meal plan & exercise plan ready to go in a couple weeks when things are settled. This video just motivated me more & made me excited! Tip for any ladies in the US: highly recommend attending the group workouts at 24hr Fitness. Ppl from all different backgrounds are there doing the workouts with you & the instructors are super fun & motivating. It’s great for me bc on my own I always feel a little lost & shy in the gym.
I like CrossFit I have to show up and they tell me what to do. It's challenging but the community at my gym is great. Plus they push you harder than you normally would. I've gained so much strength in 2 years of crossfit.
I took in person classes in Prague and Germany, but you can definitely find some online workouts on RUclips, you do not need necessarily any equipment, believe me try to do it for 30 minutes and you will be sweating like crazy, but it is also a great workout when you just forget about everything 😉
Eating chips. I have a current obsession with tortilla chips. I eat like 4 bags a week. I’ve gained 40 lbs. Even though I’m sorry you gained weight, it’s nice to know I’m not the only one! 😭
if you don't do bodybuilding, preferably in a gym, you'll be flaccid and your muscles won't be toned. I tried these youtube exercises during the pandemic and this is what happened, you just lose weight
Small nitpick, your food background information (like how you gained weight) doesn’t really make sense… I know, it’s a common myth, but 100 calories really is 100 calories. It doesn’t magically count as 1000 calories just because it’s in junk food form or because it was after a fast. It’s basic thermodynamics-1000 cals worth of salad is the same as 1000 cals worth of chips and they will cause you to gain equal amounts of weight. “Starvation mode” only applies to cravings, and this is why eating a bag of chips worth 1000 cals will not satiate you as much as 1000 cals worth of salad. And, the salad is more nutritionally valuable, you have more fibers proteins and vitamins, less sodium, etc. We hate to admit it to ourselves, but oftentimes when we skip meals we become unconscious bingers and consume many calories in one sitting after having skipped a few meals. You were likely consuming more calories than you were aware. Calories also show up in stuff like juices, alcoholic beverages, sauces, etc. These all count, unfortunately, though they don’t really constitute as “real food” in that they fail to satiate and satisfy.
Hi Meg, I am your subscriber for a long time & I love your videos 💝, but as a psychologist, I just wanna point out how the use of words & some explanations in this video (e.g. flabby, skinny / not running = unhealthy) can be triggering for some people 🥺 Also, having cellulite is pretty common even with exercising! We are all just humans trying our best in this crazy world! Lots of love to everyone xx
Agree with this comment. Megan I think you are brilliant and so so relatable and your views and opinions are of course your own. ❤ I also think you are giving so many helpful ideas for different exercises. I do think though if we have to “force” any aspect of health it can become an uphill battle and is part of that all or nothing mentality as is (in my opinion) cheat meals. I realise cheat meals may suit some. I personally found that food neutrality and a focus on inner mental health work is key to building habits that are sustainable- that and learning about intuitive eating and partial as opposed to whole meal prep. That said, we are all just doing our best and every journey is our own.
It's her channel, not yours, so chill. She's responsible for what she puts out. She made a conscious decision to post her video how she wanted to. It's not up to her to worry about triggering anyone. If it triggers someone, they need the help, not her. Some people get triggered by abrupt movements, certain music, the color of the damn screen, if these influencers are having to be conscious of every trigger, they'd have zero content. Sorry, but im so tired of ppl blaming others and holding others accountable over things they put on their own channel. If it's triggers you or you take offense to it, turn it off instead of making the influencers conform to what suits you. And I see it everywhere. Even true crime channels are warning others of triggers of violent content, yes, no shit, it's true crime. Now, if she was a psychologist posting these videos, maybe hold her a bit more accountable, but she's not, nor does she claim to be! Rant over 🙃
@@ruthg8799this is specifically for those wanting to lose weight. go watch an intuitive eater/someone who doesn't care about their weight and get off this video if it bothers you so much
Please don’t use the convenience of anonymity to remark on the physical features (and named insecurities)of others in such a blatantly judgmental way. Megan has literally commented on her journey of embracing her birthmarks. Skin is diverse and diversity is not ugly.
Yay I am so glad you made this video! 💕 I really wanted this video. I feel after watching this video I am not alone on my weight loss journey this gives me the dedication to keep going 🥺❤️😭 I also started working out again in April this year! And I am so glad I did and I have kept it up ever since, I also stopped working out for so many years, from being someone who used to workout 6 times a week to nothing not working out for 5 years. It took me a awhile to get back into a routine I workout out at home I recommend fitnesskaykay yt channel she has a lot of no equipment cardio routines that I do as I am starting slow ( I only use 1kg weights) for some cardio routines. Home workouts are so underrated and it’s the best! Megan you got this keep going and let’s keep showing up for ourselves I feel so not alone now on this journey so thank you so much for making this video, you have no idea how much of a impact it has on me 🫶🏼☺️ Please do a follow up video! Or any workout related videos like a week of workouts. Tc and thank you again 💗 Can’t wait for the new series 😅
Hi, Megan! Happy Monday, Happy Labor Day and welcome to the ninth month of September!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀💙💙💙💙💙💙🇺🇸🌷🇬🇧💖💖💖💖💖💖🎇👍. This is wonderful! Last week, I went to the park and did 30 push-ups with the time of 31.4 seconds. That's the new best time record! YES!!😀💙🎇💙🎇💙🎇💙🎇👍
A-fit (a korean channel that mostly focuses on hiit and abs, i think- i really worked up a sweat doing her 20 min, 30 min hiit workouts) Eylem Abaci - she was one of the first youtube channels i started following when i wanted to lose some belly fat and get abs- i did get some definition after a while but i think it would have been faster if i had done cardio as well (burning fat will help expose your ab muscles) Move with Nicole - she doesn't preview moves but her voice is very calming and her workouts are still hard but they make you feel really good Growingannanas - she has previews on her workouts and i do them occasionally

- walk everywhere you can
- if you can’t read what’s on the label then don’t buy it
- creating healthier versions of the unhealthy foods at home helps transitioning into eating less processed foods
- implement small changes instead of changing all at once
- give your body time to digest and heal itself naturally- fasting 18:6 is a good way to go - it will show you how unnecessary often we tend to eat out of boredom or habits
- preparation is the key; there will be low days so be prepared to have meals pre cooked or to take with you for work
-Never go hungry to the grocery store , they have scents in stores that are actually designed to make you more hungry
- most important: DO THIS FOR YOURSELF!

I have a question: is it okay to workout during period?
@@AmiraAmira-tx9hu of course, I love doing Pilates when I’m on my period

Hey girl!! Thank you for this video. I need all the motivation I can get. Can you recommend some pilates channels please? 😊✨️
Ok never mind, I continued the video 😅
If you crave salty things, look into electrolytes, try to incorporate a coconut water and see if the cravings went away 😉
Steamed potato 😂❤
New to your channel
if you don't do bodybuilding, preferably in a gym, you'll be flaccid and your muscles won't be toned.
Rant over 🙃
@@ruthg8799this is specifically for those wanting to lose weight. go watch an intuitive eater/someone who doesn't care about their weight and get off this video if it bothers you so much
Steamed potato 😂

Don’t be rude- it’s a birthmark
Rude and unnecessary comment
Please don’t use the convenience of anonymity to remark on the physical features (and named insecurities)of others in such a blatantly judgmental way. Megan has literally commented on her journey of embracing her birthmarks. Skin is diverse and diversity is not ugly.
please delete your comment and mind your business, there is nothing wrong with the spots, it is a human body we are all unique and beautiful

A-fit (a korean channel that mostly focuses on hiit and abs, i think- i really worked up a sweat doing her 20 min, 30 min hiit workouts)
Eylem Abaci - she was one of the first youtube channels i started following when i wanted to lose some belly fat and get abs- i did get some definition after a while but i think it would have been faster if i had done cardio as well (burning fat will help expose your ab muscles)
Move with Nicole - she doesn't preview moves but her voice is very calming and her workouts are still hard but they make you feel really good
Growingannanas - she has previews on her workouts and i do them occasionally
