I just started fishing a compass a few months ago and using a SUP paddle works better for me than the hobie double. I get more push off with the wide paddle and just overall easy with the rod holder and sidekicks on. You slay bro! Im on Oahu and fish Tracks and Hickam mostly.
Love the vids! Long time kihei guy looking to get into yak fishing. Not going all in (yet), got a 13.5' tandem recreational yak and two young boys. Would like to get them out to do some papio whipping and maybe some jigging. Know any resources I can hit up to learn the ways of yak fishin?
Canon McGarry I would say just do some research through RUclips video and blogs. That is how I kind of came up with ideas. Before here I only inshore fish near the coast. Coming I’m here is a learning experience every time I go out.
paul vu my bait wasn’t deep at all. Probably no more 5 feet deep and about 15 feet behind my kayak. Pelagics aren’t scare of you and the kayak. They will come right up to it and hit your bait.
Joy was asking about you, so I showed her this video. Yeah, he's doing alright I said. She was mad you didn't show the fish more at the end, but I wouldn't let her leave a thumbs down.
Wow that was a crazy fight in a kayak!!!! COngrats on your first Wahoo!!! That fish went nuts!!! lmao. If you could when you get the chance, come checkout my latest upload when you can. TIght lines as always!
