There are some little things, but personally I am super happy even as it is, because of the workflow. The only thing that bugs me is that I cant clear the whole pattern at once currently, but I can get around that with copy/paste of an empty pattern. Plus I was insured by Raivo from Erica, that they are working on ironing out the bugs. I believe them - this is a really solid company and having such an incredible machine, I could not imagine them abandoning the development now. I am pretty sure it will grow and they will add functions just like it is happening with Eloquencer.
I do not doubt they are working hard on this and will get things ironed out. I love every Erica module I own. Also love everything I know of the build quality and work flow of this module. It would fulfill all of my trigger needs! Unfortunately some of the bugs have to do with sync so I will wait until they fix a few things before buying. Thanks for the great demos/reviews!
Every time i come back here I just have to admit that this sequencer does all I want for my Drums. I guess once the muscle memory kicks in, it gets a mental instrument.. The reason i hesitated for a long time to get this module is the muff-discussions -> there seem to be an awful lot of little bugs. Have you experienced these? And how severe are they? I mean, in a live situation I need stability without compromise.. Thank you for this awesomely informative video.
To be honest I have not been using it for few months now, cause I am preparing a live set that evolves around Eloquencer. Also I am waiting for all the fixes and updated that guys from Erica Synths are doing but as I see on the muff forum its constantly updated, so I am really excited about it, as I will def come back to DS and use it for other things.
Re Probability - Slight correction. If it's modeled after the Elektron probability then the ratios X:Y are 'play this step on the Xnd of every Y bars' or '1st of every 3 bars' etc. This has the effect of giving the pattern a longer feel since a 1 bar pattern can have steps that play only every X bars. The X% ones are a weighted coin toss every time the step comes up.
This appears to be the sequencer I have been waiting for in Eurorack. I have an Eloquencer but much of my music is percussive and I'm mostly using the gate outs only. I do wish there were 2 CV outs, but it's not the end of the world. I had a Cirklon for some time, and this reminds me of that. I loved it but it was huge and under-utilized by me. I understand that the new Erica drum modules can be triggered without patch cables from this too. I wonder if other drums can be triggered that way? Anyway, I ordered a Drum Sequencer last night. Thank you for posting this. Very helpful and well explained video.
ARRR man I want to get into Eurorack But this sequencer and the Box alone is already setting me back About 1000 EUR and haven't even bought any Sound Modules ...
I dont think You can change it. I have an early unit - like one of the first units to leave the factory, so it just might be different batch and led colours.
Nice review. Thank you ! I have few questions as mine is coming. The red stripe goes to the -12V (dont see it in the manual) and does the new firmeware fix the bugs you had ? Thanks :-)
Hi, fantastic test...thank you. I habe one question about midi/sync. I use a electron digitakt to sequence all my synths and now i like to cnnect my modular drums with the elektron. The erica sequencer would worke in slave mode. Does it work? Thx
why god why would they make such a great device and then only put one channel of cv gate. like if this had just even 2 channels of cv you could do so much :< :( :[ :{
I get that your demonstrating the sequencer but wow man, that sounded awful and was incredibly annoying. I couldn't watch it all. Surely if your going to make YT demos about gear you have to at least give some consideration to the ears of the viewer. So annoying I couldnt watch all the video.
Best Erica Synths Drum Sequencer Tutorial on RUclips!!! Thank you. Much appreciated 🙏
Nice review! No bullshit, just the beauty of the module
Nice review, bought one thanks to this review!
You have no idea how helpful this is. Thank you x1000000

Synthesizers dammit you got to it first

your video is more informative than the original tutorial xD
I bought one today :D ! I'm so happy... This sequencer is wonderful !!! The best i have seen on Eurorack to drive drum modules 🤟🤟
I'm pretty certain at this point that the fly is a glitch in the matrix. 😎
Thanks for this tutorial, it was very helpful
Great tutorial!! Many thanks.
thanks a lot its truly an a great instrument. as well as your video!
MUST HAVE. Just waiting for them to work out the bugs. Lots of complaints last I checked the MUff forum.

precarious333 You can still buy it and just do the update. On Muff you see the next one is coming in the next couple of days :)

@@colormysound1576 - thanks for the reply. I will save up some money and watch your Eloquencer video until bugs become rare. ;-)
How to solo a specific instrument?

...oh...and great vid, thanks! 👍
thanks for video
Have they worked out the bugs for this thing yet? Great demo. I really want it now 😰
As far as I know all of the nasty stuff is gone. Kodek is DA MAN. He is constantly improving and adding new functionality, so fear not.
@@colormysound1576 I still saw a few bugs at 7:14 or so.

Havent had a chance to update yet. I am pretty sure -12 V is always red stripe.

Hello friend do you need an external sequencer for it or does it work in standalone?
this is the external sequencer :)
Comparison to Metron?
