The thing is, you can effectively just mostly ignore the Gonarch's. Just dodge their attacks, just like you're already needing to do with all the cars and other shit flung at you.
Now I wonder. If you can put Gonarchs to Nihilant's chamber, why not putting some more conventional NPCs, like grunts and controllers? They would distract the player from Nihilant, and additionally damaging them, which would justify the rain of supplies that the player gets.
Like with the expanding roster of challenges three gonarchs in the middle of the Nihalanth battle is just there for the challenge, no actual cinematic difference in the ending? Well the hat makes a difference, but am I correct?

There are two endings in hL there is one if u agree to gmans offer which he will put U in stasis and the other ending is when turn down gmans offer he will put u on xen which the enemies you faced in xen will kill u
User doesn’t take a genius to figure out that being stuck in xen with a whole bunch of aliens and no weapons to defend yourself probably odds of surviving are very low

About that. The combine uses headcrabs for stunning the enemy's organizations. They may have cloned the headcrabs.

That's not what I expected. I expected the one with "Rarest Specimen" achievement.

Most people did not like that feature and found it annoying, so they scraped it and replaced it with the nihilanth teleporting things at you.

I'll have to try this, to me the boss fight (even on hard) was extremely easy.
The pickups were just so much, it made it super easy
If Nihilanth does move like original version or HL cut content(able to dodge attack) then the fight would be more interesting.
