Thanks for the review. I'm definitely interested in this mic. But what I'd love to hear is the difference in audio quality, when switching from your camera internal mic to the Deity.

Didn't include the on-board camera microphone because it really depends on what camera you have and I would personally never use that microphone if I had a choice, but totally understanding wanting to hear the difference. Sorry I didn't have that test as well.

Excellent test and comparison. If only the Deity had the Rode's superior sound quality on its front mic, I would buy it in a heartbeat. And too bad the Rode doesn't have a double capsule version - such is life...

I like the front and back mic option, but don't know when I'd use it. I have the VideoMicro, but would love to get something that sounds even better.

Great review. Do you know if we can use both the mics on a smartphone? I heard that it doesn't work. Only mono over front mic. Could you please validate?
