Thank you so much 😊!!!
This was your best video in my opinion! There are a lot of gems in this and you cover them in a way that is easy to follow. Could I go out in my shop and make this chair right now, probably not but I appreciate the ideas and techniques shown here, it's just cool to see the process. Thanks for uploading this!
Thank you Jason for the comment and for taking time to watch it. It truly does mean a lot to me and people such as yourself make it worthwhile. 😊
Thank you for posting the full version!
It’s me who is thanking you. I truly appreciate your interest.
This was a very helpful video. As of yet I have not made a chair. I've made a couple of stools, but not a chair. Thank you for walking through the math of it with us. While it can be difficult to do, figuring out the tough angles and set-ups is so rewarding in the end because of how much you learn. I've been a viewer of your channel for a long time. I value your content because you keep it real. You own it when you make a mistake and you show us how to not make the same mistake. You have helped me, through email, when I needed help or just had general questions. I hope someday that we get to meet so I can thank you in person.
Wow! Thank you so much for the very kind words. You have no idea how much that means to me.
👍 up now, watch this later!
Thx. Lake Havasu 🌞 Az
I hope you are disappointed 😆
@@ChadStanton I'll try to be disappointed... I know woodworking sucks for all of us.. Lol
Thanks Chad for this comprehensive video. What wood are you using? Is it maple?
Great question. The chair back was a rubber tree. Probably from over seas. I found Alder looked very similar in grain pattern. Then I just matched the stain color. You can’t even tell the difference. 😁
I'm very happy to see this video as there are few full project videos anymore. I guess people don't have the attention span, but it's something that really helps.
I’m truly honored that you want to see my video. Thank you
nice chair chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad
😁
Hello Chad, that's really cool
. Thank you so much. Thomas
Thomas I want to thank you for taking your time to watch it
Yes! Thank you!
Hi Chad , thx so mutch to show me (us) about making chairs i’ve learned alot 👍🏼 Just a heads up about your marking gauge . Instead of putting a pointy nail in your marking gauge , put a type of a knife type of pin . That way it will cut the cross grains. 🤜🤛
Very helpful thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching! 😁
Thank you very very much for your time and effort!
I love your video and your content!
Thank you Chad, great video.
Sorry I’m late to the party Chad. This is a brilliant video-one of the best I’ve seen on what craftsmen woodworkers experience in real life. Some of the “big” channels are all about entertainment, and while that has a place within that niche, it does not meet the needs of everyday woodworkers making things at the bench. I truly appreciate and thank you for being authentic and knowing your audience. I am that audience member who is grateful, inspired to take chances and grow while understanding that mistakes and challenges are a part of our chooses hobby or business thanks in large part to you. I’ll keep dancing and you keep on making videos. God Bless Chad!
Wow! Thank you so much for your comments and sharing them with me and others 😊. I’m feeling very humbled now.
Love this long format! Thank you! Would really like to see you discuss wood grain as it specifically pertains to chair building some day, please.😊
Oh good suggestion! I will keep that in mind.
